So all in all a terrifying sight. And she would NOT leave me alone. If I hadn't wanted to try the brand so much I would have told her to shove it but since the Illamasqua website is very confusing I had no choice really. grrrr.
After showing me almost everything in the entire line and picking the most vile colour out of each section (she picked up a bright fuschia lippie like the one she had on and rubbed it on my hand and said "this is for you" and stared at me waiting for me to say ok I will take one, when I replied "that is WAY too bright I prefer a neutral or pale lip" she tutted and then tried a colour which was about 1 shade lighter...dear god if you ever go to Selfridges on Oxford street and see this clown-haired monstrosity I beg you run run run for the hills!
She tried some other vile coloured eyeshadows on my and then pointed out Feint which I do actually like (although she did then grab 4 other shadows and say I needed them all to match...dear god) and I agreed that Servant was a nice shade and decided to take that, mainly to shut her up lol! Basically she seemed to be trying to get me to buy everything in the whole display! In the end I got so peeved I told her straight that I had spent enough money already and that I just wanted to take what I had already decided on having and she replied 'hmmm but how about this' aaaaaaah she was insane...as you can see I am still mad about 8 hours later lol.
Here are the two eyeshadows I purchased
Servant is a warm toned pale pink and Feint is a dirty mauve with pinky undertones and they are both matte. I like that they are matte as it will be good for a work look. I have only swatched so far and the colours appear just as in the pan (hence why I haven't swatched them on my hand for pics as well).
I was also bullied into buying their sealing gel which is just like the too faced and mac versions which change eyeshadow into eyeliner, I am sure it will be fine but I just didn't want it lol. I need to grow some balls...
The final thing I bought a lipstick in sonnet but it is more of a peach toned nude than pink so I won't be using it with the eyeshadows in the same look. I am going to have a play around with what I have bought now and hopefully will have a new eye look soon.
And finally - the love of my life has finally returned
Yes I am talking about Wispa gold, how do I love theee oooh let me count the ways

Oh that made me laugh in sympathy- but just think- if she had been really nice and showed you loads of nice things then you probably would have spnt a lot more money!
If I ever see her I will run away!!
Oh wow...what a day you had! I'm easily pushed when other people tell me to get things...glad you spoke up. ^_^ It was a fun read! Poor thing...lovely eyeshadows!

@phoebe and louise, can you believe they didn't have any wispas in any shops today..had to settle with kitkat caramel...ok 2 of them lol!
@lucy I saw the blue one you had in your blog but what others have you got..any recs? I have blueish eyes so blue looks a bit dodge!
you so have to do a r/v on Illamasqua, Im very intrigued to see how they maintain etc. :) xx
@Alice I have done one look but I want to do another one now and then post both at the same time. I think their lasting power depends what colours you get though so I will have to buy some more to test that out (haha love how I am trying to justify shopping even more).
Jusitfying why I spend so much that is my worst nightmare! I think I am going to have to take a trip and take a look for myself!
xx
