15% Off Discount at First Light Cosmetics

Now as you may have noticed, by the fact that I rarely post about mineral makeup - I have not really tried very many different mineral makeup brands, in fact just Bare Escentuals, Elf and Lily Lolo.

Therefore I was interested to read the information that Gilles at First Light Cosmetics sent me, and was incredibly surprised that for no reason at all (he didn't ask me to make this post etc.) he offered all of my followers (and me presumably) a discount code of 15% off of all purchases from their website of over £5.00.

So here is the link to the newly launched First Light Cosmetics website I thought that was really nice, that he was just being kind in offering the discount don't you? I often get emails with a list of demands lol!

I also want to mention I was not paid for this post, he did not ask me to specifically make a post, nor was I /will be sent anything free although I might buy a blush, they look really pretty

The voucher code: Firstlightheart
The voucher gives a 15% discount on all orders over £5.00 before P&P.

Free standard delivery policy on all orders over £50.

The voucher is valid until 19/3/2010 and is redeemable here at the website website: First Light Cosmetics To redeem the voucher just enter the code at the checkout.

These are the floral pouches that the women make, aren't they pretty?

First Light is a mineral makeup brand - They use 100% minerals and nothing else - no chemicals, fragrance, preservatives, oil or talc fillers which I suppose a lot of mineral makeup companies claim.  The main reason I think this is such a nice brand of makeup is that  they sell all of their products in fabric pouches  which are  made by disadvantaged women in Tanzania to encourage the development of their own commercial and social enterprise. Now I am really liking the women-helping-women vibe of this range.  The pouches are made specifically at the Mabinti Center in Tanzania.

The First Light website offers women a colour matching guide and provides sample testers for only £1.50 including postage and the cost of up to 2 testers is redeemable against full price items. Foundations, concealers, blushes, bronzers and perfect finish powders all come in tester sizes. - Sounds good to me!

So what is your take on mineral makeup? I always find mineral foundation makes my skin look dry, do you?

Absolutely. Mineral foundation does not agree with my skin and only emphasises the dryness....mmmm, attractive!

I really like the idea of this brand and you're right, the blushes do look lovely. xx

i totally heart this brand :)
i just have bought 2 blushes and 1 foundation! Im soo fascinated!
very good quality :)
its also very nice because they help the women, and that's important, cause i try to use products from free pet cruelty and with no preservaties and some other things that are not good for the skin :)
