I received an email from Avon which said this "beauty bloggers to tell us and your readers about the most remarkable women in your life with our “Wonderful Women” competition. I could talk about the subject of my post all day long so I don't mind if I win or not, I am going to post anyway. If I do win then the prizes will be in a giveaway as I am actually allergic to Avon!
My Wonder Woman
Mumsie and Me - I took her to The Lanesborough for Afternoon Tea in 2009
My mum inspires me so much, she has had an amazingly hard life and still (most of the time) has a smile on her face and spends her life caring for and loving me and looking after me and my Grandad now he is alone (my Nan passed away a couple of years ago).
She is the eldest of 4 and is always in charge of looking after my Grandad even though she is the only one with no partner, the only one who is disabled and the only one who has no car or form of transport.
She is the one that I and everyone else rely on. Basically she is a rock and I love her so much. I don't know how she does it but my little Mum is a true soldier. Hodkins disease, non hodgkins lymphoma, skin cancer, chemo, radiotherapy, cheating husbands, stem cell transplants, operations, a broken spine, being airlifted by an RAF helicopter, domestic abuse, divorce, depression, beatings, she's been through it all and she always keeps her head held high and a smile on her face.
I could think of no better role model for a strong positive woman than her. The email from Avon suggested our 'wonder woman' could be a celebrity but I doubt any celebrity has 1% of the compassion, kindness and strength that she does. I just wish she could find an amazing man who treats her like the princess she is . So if you're reading this Clooney then take her on a date!
Mum- to me you are the one and only Wonder Woman
Who is your inspiration?

Your mum sounds truly inspirational and wonderful and this post made me both sad at all the horrible things she's been through but proud and happy to think she managed to get through it all and remain such a strong and wonderful woman.

Aww, this made me cry! Your mum sounds like a wonderful woman & you must be very proud to call her your mum ♥
My mum is my inspiration too. If I have the tiniest amount of strength, humour and courage that she does, I'll be just fine.
xoxo
My Mum was my inspiration too, unfortunately she passed away when I'd just turned 19. So I always tell people to appreciate their Mums as much as possible! My Mum is still my inspiration today and will continue to be.
