Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars

At IMATS I picked up some of the Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars, well everyone else had some and I wanted some too!

OCC LIP TAR

$12.50 USD / £7.00 each 8ml

This is taken from their website
"OCC Lip Tar combines the longevity of a lipstick, with the ease of application of a gloss. Goes on slick and moist, and dries down to a satin finish. Ultra-saturated in color, OCC Lip Tar contains an unprecedented amount of pigment, so a little goes a very, very long way. An intense yet featherweight layer of color that stands up to the scrutiny of Hi-Def Video and Digital Photography, without ever looking (or feeling!) heavy. Meant to be mixed, OCC Lip Tars come in concise range of colors (and black and white!) for a limitless selection of shades made by you!" Now the are vegan products and cruelty free as well, free of parabens and harsh preservatives.

The colours I picked up are Hush (left) and Conquest (right)

These lip tars are meant to be mixed together which is why I picked these two colours as I can use the nude alone or add the pink to make a rosy shade or a brighter pink shade.  For the centre picture on the left I then applied a pink gloss over the top and the lip tar made it stay on for  hours, it was brilliant!

Before IMATS I had actually never heard of these products at all can you believe it?!  They are brilliantly priced and you need a blob the size of a pin-head to cover your entire lips!  I find it easier to use a lip brush for the pink and to dab on the nude colour with my finger and blot or it look way way too pigmented and strong.

These lip tars are absolutely brilliant and I am so happy that I can wear them underneath lipgloss for work to give brilliant staying power to my normal lipglosses and dazzleglasses.

If you like the nude concealer lip look then conquest is definitely a must have for you.  But there are loads of shades as can be see on their website (link at the top of the page) so I would go and take a look and see if any take your fancy.

These look cute and i love the Hush colour - Are they super thick? I am thinking if they are more of a thicker consistency than a normal gloss they may be less sticky on the lips?

Sarah x said...

@Jody yes they are very thick but they aren't a gloss, more like a liquid lippie x
