Vaseline Sheer Infusion Vitamin Burst Body Lotion

I saw this Vaseline Sheer Infusion moisturiser in Superdrug on Monday for £4.99 and it had to be mine! I wasn't sure which one to get but in the end I picked up the Vitamin Burst one since erm vitamins are good for you?  I love a new product (who doesn't) and the sign said that it contained 'Stratys 3" and frankly I just wanted to know what the hell that even was!

From the website:
Vaseline® Sheer Infusion™ contains the unique patented Stratys-3™ technology and is the new body lotion that infuses and suspends superior moisture across all layers of skin* – delivering superior moisture and a unique silky skin feel, compared to leading everyday body lotions.   In fact this product even has its own website have a look!

The packaging looks so much better than the usual Vaseline packaging and I find it much more useful when moisturisers have the flip opening at the bottom so that when you get near the bottom of the tube all of the product goes to the bottom rather than having to shake it as you do when the lid is at the top.

I actually only use one other Vaseline product which is the Cocoa Butter Vitalising Gel Body Oil, I can't really use this very often as it does take a while to sink in and can get a bit sticky although I love it as it is so moisturising so I thought this new product could be used in the mornings before work when I have to get ready quickly as it is so so cold in the mornings I am not going to be prancing around naked waiting for my lotion to dry!

The consistency of this is very sheer, in fact its a bit like a creamy gel.  The problem this creates is that it is so cold to apply - can you see the goosebumps on my arm in the picture below? It makes me really cold!  I think this would be much better in the summer or for those who just generally live in hot countries.

It sinks in really quickly and absorbs to leave a non-greasy soft and smooth skin. I was able to get dressed pretty quickly after application.  I think the scent of this is grapefruit but I am not 100%, it is certainly a citrus fruit.

I really like this lotion and it is perfect for the purpose that I bought it which is to use quickly before work or in the mornings when I need to get dressed in a hurry.  I would still choose a body butter from Korres, Marks and Spencer or one of the thicker Vaseline creams if I really wanted super duper moisturisation but for the purpose that I bought it for it's a winner and I will definitely repurchase.  There are two others in the range, one pink (mineral) and one green (botanical) so if vitamins aren't your thing then maybe give them a go!
