Label.m Hair Products Review - My Current Obsession

11 May 2010

After realising that the Herbal Essences products unfortunately faded away my hair dye (yikes) I went back to the products I was really excited about last month by Label.m

To be blunt I freaking love these hair products, I will still 100% stick by my Redken anti snap treatment but these Label.m products are going to take some beating. I have my eye on all manner of their other products as well!

Label.m has been developed for professional stylists and is made by Toni and Guy.

The products are split into the 4 C’s.

There are eight shampoos in the range and I have the Treatment Shampoo - 300ml for £8.25

This shampoo is ideal for coloured and chemically treated hair like mine and protects from colour fading. It really strengthens your hair without making it feel heavy or limp.   It contains soy and wheat proteins, panthenol, biotin and wheat amino acids - these products are all proven to improve the strength of your hair and considering the price I was really impressed.  The lather is creamy but rinses through easily.  My hair is left feeling strong and soft and very silky.  The Enviroshield complex I mentioned protects your hair from heat styling and UV rays.

There are a lot of deep, leave in and regular conditioners available but I have two

Moisturising Conditioner - 300ml for £11.50

This also containst the Enviroshield Complex.  The ingredients include aloe, echinacea and currant extract.  This is perfect for dry hair as it does what it says and is very moisturising without leaving your hair greasy or overly soft (some coat the hair to make it feel repaired when it actually isn't).  This is a great consistency and isn't too thin so it drips off your head but isn't as thick as a deep conditioner either.  This is a great failsafe conditioner and my hair feels great after using and it tames the frizzy bits too.

Peppermint Treatment - 150ml for £11.00

This is slightly more expensive than the other products but it is SO COOL!  It  is formulated with peppermint to stimulate your scalp, this is to increase blood supply to the hair follicle which I assume is to encourage hair growth and to encourage the scalp not to be dry and flaky.  This is like a menthol chewing gum for your scalp!  You get that burst of minty freshness but on your head, it's a rather weird feeling the first time you use it but its so cool and I love it!  It leaves my scalp feeling refreshed and my hair looks great too. It is definitely very invigorating so great for after the gym.  Once again it contains the Enviroshield so is a heat protectant too.  You would only use this treatment once a week, leave it in for one minute before rinsing out.
The last item I have is a dry shampoo which might seem odd as everyone's favourite Batiste is always a staple and is really cheap, however not only does the regular Batiste go white now my hair is brunette but the brunette spray does not give me any volume at all...which is a bit of a waste of time!

Dry Shampoo 200ml for £10.00

Just use this as you would a regular dry shampoo to refresh your hair between shampoos or to get rid of grease overload. It uses  natural rice starch and it is a clear spray rather than a white or coloured one.  I find it gives a great volume however you do need to rub it in and if you don't want a matte look don't spray it on the top layer of hair spray the under layers while your head is tipped upside down.

This is also handy if you are styling your hair in a plait or updo where you need more texture.

Overall Opinion

I adore everything about these products.  They are well priced for the quality and the standard of ingredients. The packaging is plain but classy and unisex in my opinion.  The products certainly look more expensive than they actually cost.

Every product I have used delivers and I would definitely recommend them to anyone, there is a massive range of other items in the range which I am looking forward to trying and the products appear to be of a professional stylist standard.
