New from Sure is a range called Sure Women Natural Minerals which is a range of anti-perspirant deodorants formulated in response to women’s growing interest in products with natural ingredients.
It is the first range to offer 48hr protection with natural minerals. Extracts of olive leaf, cranberry, orange blossom, and absorbent natural minerals (apparently from the softest rock in the world) are combined with Sure’s already proven anti perspirant technology.
Roll on sent for free, spray purchased by me (what a poet)
My first thoughts
A 48 hour deodorant?? I shower daily, or at the very least would wash my armpits at least twice within 24 hours so why would you need a 48 hour long deodeorant?
Available in two variants – Fresh and Pure, in both anti-perspirant and roll-on format, Sure Natural Minerals is the only natural mineral antiperspirant combining natural minerals and encapsulated odour protection technology.
I was sent the above pictured roll on by Sure’s PR company. I haven’t used a roll on since I was about 14 so I thought I would give it a go, I quickly remembered why I hated them as five minutes after applying I still had soaking wet armpits and even my trusty hairdryer wasn't helping. Please, if you wear a roll on explain to me why - I just don't get it!
So the roll on down I went to Tesco and picked up the spray deo in the scent Fresh for the very cheap price of £2 for 2 sprays in Tesco (I picked Matt up a Sure men's as well).
This is much more up my alley. The scent is pleasant and it didn’t leave any white marks on my clothes. It lasted and kept me smelling fresh and dry for the entire day and I was very pleased with it. I quite like the green can, my other one was just plain white so it's nice to have a change and the spray is easy to use.
Overall - they sprays are very good low priced deodeorants which I am now happy to purchase rather than my regular Dove one. My underarms have not been sore or irritated as they sometimes are, while I am not saying that this product is healing them I presume that means they are not being further irritated.
Personally the roll on was not something I could recommend, and I was dissapointed at the length of time it would have taken to dry and the fact I had to wipe it off as I didn't have time for it to dry.

I bloody hate roll on! I used to use stick but I don't even like that any more - I'd rather use an aerosol now. I haven't tried the Sure minerals but I have tried the Garnier one, and it's such a nice smell (the purple one), I've already repurchased!
I wear the sure 48 hour protection, the cream one thats £5! It's expensive for deodrant but its amazing. Basically it will last even after you shower, meaning it works better because you more on after you shower, giving a double effect!
I do use roll-ons, and I hate sprays! They don't take too long too be absorbed on my armpits. Sprays, on the other hand, take ages and I hate them for that reason.
I think it really depends on your skin type...
I use bloody roll ons!!!! haha. I hate sprays, I just don't feel like I get enough protection from them. Mine don't take a minute to dry, by the time Ive walked out of the bathroom to my bedroom its dry.
xxxx
I use the Sure Extra Protection - best deoderant I've ever had. It's like a cream stick thing that you twist uo get out the top, so not the conventional "roll-on". Yes it's a tad on the expensive side, but it is sooo worth it. Quick drying and lasts ages.

I'm either or, but at the moment I'm using Nivea Calm & Care.
There has been spray's I've used that as soon as they touch my skin they clump?!?! Strange!
each to their own! i only use roll on because i'm asthmatic and aerosols set me off on a coughing fit! plus they're better for the environment as well...
roll on FTW!
I only wear roll-ons. I have one spray but it doesn't do anything to me. Doesn't keep odour or keep my armpits dry. And roll-on doesn't take that long to dry at least on me.
I have this to review, am using it daily. It dries very quickly on me though?!
I much prefer a roll on deodorant. They work much better than a spray.
Mine doesn't take long to dry at all either. I've been using the same brand for a couple of years now as it's the best I've found It's Arrid xx.
I use this roll on (in the Pure scent) I think it smells lovely.
It doesn't take long to dry on me and its the only deodorant I have used in a long time (roll on or otherwise) that hasn't irritated my skin.
Great review :)

I used to wear roll on but have never gone back to it. I hate how it makes my armpits feel plus I always think the spray does a better job anyway.
I wear roll on sometimes (Mitchum), and as I am a sweaty betty I like it when they say 48hour protection, means more chance of it being good!
I have this in the spray, and I love it, it is my latest deodorant love affair :D
i dont like roll on at all, it is literally only used for festivals as aerosol isn't allowed in..that is the only reason! i hate the sticky feeling and the general ergh. the spray one is much more up my street! xox
I havnt used roll on in forever until recently. I've just realised why I hadn't used it in ages! haha

I kind od alternate between, if I have time to let it dry I will use roll on. I do get worried about the crap that's in deodrants though, does this one contain parabens?
for me, Roll ons work. Sprays dont work on me i wonder why but i am happy with putting on my roll on everyday :)
@ Mhairi I hear you, I can't deal with sticky armpits!
@Kerry - I haven't ever had a problem with sweating so that's probably why I was baffled with the 48 hour ness of it, I see that it would be very helpful in that situation xx
@Lydia that's a good point, i had never thought about the skin under my arm, maybe it's oily..? Lol I need to have a look under there now!
@Jo I LOVE how you sound so mortally offended, I didn't plan on shooting anyone with a roll on LMAO I just personally don't understand why they don't dry on my (perhaps oily...) armipits!
xxxx
@Sophie I like the idea of a cream stick..shall investigate xx
@Redz2486 clumpy deo sounds scary!
@bacio exactly I totally agree on
each to their own!
@Duvessa hmm this deo thing is rather baffling how it works for some..
@Charlie weird, i must have some funky armpits!
@tackyblueeyeshadow I can't get mine to work at all, unless you are supposed to leave them wet..lol
@Tanya it does smell really nice x
@Phoebe i agree!
@Small Town Gal ooh I like Mitchum, I used to use that all the time...in fact i have no idea why i bought dove really
@Zoe roll on is ...weird
@Louisa roll on is confusing to me
@Chester Rose probably since it doesn't say anything about it, I would go to Holland and Barret and pick up the organic manuka honey one if you want one that's paraben free and smells like a winnie the pooh dream come true :P
@Sara.H well at least roll ons are handier and smaller eh!
I can't believe how Roll ons have dividend and united so many...it's like a deodeorant miracle :P
I bloody love my roll-ons! I find that I am much more likely to get sweat patches with a spray.
I love roll ons!! I put it on before doin my daily moisturiser routine, comb my wet hair, apply all products, then go do my make up... When I'm finished all that my pits are as dry as a bone! :D then I get dressed and ready, I use the garnier 48hr roll on, mainly because I can be a bit of a sweaty betty! The 48hr thing just says "your gonna be extra dry" to me... :D loves it! Xxx
I love my roll on! But I must admit, I love my spray deoderant more, because I find it more hygienic. You are basically rubbing it against your arm pit, meaning everytime you use it you are spreading more and more bacteria and stuff, right?
So yeah I do agree with you- sprays are a lot better! x
