Schwarzkopf Gliss Shea Cashmere Shampoo Review

Gliss Cashmere shampoo is formulated for dry and lifeless hair (check!) and the ingredients include shea butter and cashmere protein. All which sounded very exciting for a cheaply priced shampoo,  this is only £1.99 !

Gliss is quite an underrated brand as far as I can see, you rarely see it advertised in magazines either. After using this I think that is a real shame, as it's actually pretty damn good for a drugstore shampoo and I certainly like it better than a lot of others (pantene for example).   You can see my review of their Asia Straight products here Gliss Asia Straight which I bought last August when I started blogging and it lasted me until this February!

In case you have never heard of Gliss their products contain what they call a 'unique cell repair system' which targets damaged areas and penetrates the hair cell to repair from the inside.  I.e. this shampoo doesn't just coat your hair with that horribly plasticky feeling which leaves your hair super soft, and totally limp! So that is definitely a bonus.

The consistency is quite thick and it almost pearlescent and transparent; it has a lovely smell and gives a rich creamy lather. It is easy to washes out leaving my hair feel really nice and smooth and untangled.

The product contains shea butter and cashmere protein. After using, hair feels soft although not to an extreme. I like that this uses shea butter as most of the body lotions that I love contain this and it has always been something that I think is a truly effective moisturiser.

This shampoo is a firm 'keeper' for my gym bag as I refuse to take expensive products to the gym (I have been the victim of exploding hair products too many times).  Let's be honest, is it as good as Label? Not in my opinion, but at £1.99 it was unlikely to be.

I didn't use it with the Gliss Shea Cashmere Conditioner but it worked well with my Label.M conditioner and left my hair super shiny.

The Gliss Shea Cashmere Shampoo and Conditioner are both priced at £1.99  and are available from independent chemists, Savers  and Superdrug (from June).  They seem to be stocked in a lot of places beginning with S!

Have you ever tried Gliss?  I think they also do a shine spray which is supposed to be nice but I have never used it.

Not impressed with their shine shampoo... £1 poundland line, it cleans ok but no shinier hair than with any other shampoo I am afraid

£1.99, that is a very good price if it really does something. Good find!
