Boots 17 - Starry Eyes Glitter Liner

6 July 2010

I mentioned that I had been given a Boots 17 Starry Eyes glitter liner at the Christmas in July event and here it is.  I really love the colour and the pigmentation, once dry it lasted for the entire day and it's glittery without being childish and gritty.  I was a bit worried I would have some sort of irritation or itching, but I was fine.

The glitter is so fine, and you can even dab it all over the lid as a glitter shadow.  This liner won't be out until Christmas (so probably September in reality) and I will be getting a backup and any other colours available.  I have never bought the Urban Decay liners as I didn't like the chunkiness of the glitter but these are just what I have been looking for.

Since I was so impressed I picked up this eyeshadow trio at the weekend.  Its called In The Nude and costs £4.99.  If you spend more than £6.00 on 17 products you also get a gift set at the moment AND if you use the voucher in the back of the Boots magazine you get 100 points if you purchase one of the 17 Mirror Shine Lipsticks of which I have two, Beehive and Nudist Peach and would definitely recommend you try.

I was impressed with the pigmentation and the above is 1 swipe, it's not as pigmented as Mac or Nars for example, but good for £4.99 and I like how the colours blend together.  The shadows aren't dusty like a lot of cheap eyeshadows and the texture is really nice and smooth.

Have you tried any 17 products?  What do you think?

I've never looked twice at any glitter liner because the large chunks of glitter scare me off instantly! This looks really nice, but I'm still a bit worried as I wear contacts and my eyes get irritated quite easily. It looks super pretty though!

17 often comes out with little winners!
That liner actually looks really nice, I'm normally not a fan of glitter but the glitter in that is so fine, it's like grown up glitter! I've got loads of the Collection 2000 glitter liners but never use them because the glitter is jut too big. I'll probably pick one of these up though!

Ooo the shadow trio is lovely, that will look great on you. I haven't really used much of the 17 range, but since the Boots event have been a little more tempted. Am looking forward to the xmas trios too.
Glad the glitter in the liner is much finer, defo makes it more wearable x

I bought some similar coloured 17 eyeshadows recently and you just reminded me I need to do a review and swatches!!

I also tagged you to do the 8 Questions TAG on my blog!

I use exactly the same trio eyeshadow for my daily look and it is definitely a winner! I love how it helps blend out smoky looks - the colours might not be too pigmented but they blend nicely. I recommend you try the single eyeshadows too, Shocking Pink is a favourite of mine and it is definitely a lot more pigmented than the trios. I sometimes struggle to take it off my eyeshadow brush tbh but it's worth it.

Ooh, this looks great for the festive season! I think 17 has been coming out with some great items recently.
I reviewed the Precious Metals bronzer on my blog- pinkpompoms

Do you know if these will be sold individually, or as part of christmas gift sets?
