June Faves, Big Sexy Hair and the Worlds Worst OOTD!

Big Sexy Hair is one of the leading lines from the company Sexy Hair founded by hairstylist Michael O'Rourke.

My hair is ridiculously thin, fine and frankly rubbish. If I had a choice I'd get a refund on it and start again. I have to try and create volume just to leave the house otherwise I look ridiculous but most of the time my volume sort of wilts after half an hour.

I was sent this trio of three mini products from the Big Sexy Hair line to try out. It was under the guise of being used for festivals, but if you've met me I am sure me at a festival is a fairly amusing concept to you or near any sort of nature or wildlife.

Volumizing Dry Shampoo - £6.95
From previous reviews you can tell I have a fair few. I don't really use them for keeping my hair clean as it very rarely gets greasy so I just use them for the added volume which this product is great at. I can't say it's as good as the powder (review below) but I think it's very good.

Overall

Colourless so no grey-hair syndrome
Unscented (I like a scent but at least it's not a scent I dislike)
Kept hair clean and oil free no doubt as it is a mineral and clay based dry shampoo
Added volume at the roots and the crown which did last a good few hours, definitely not all day though.

Spray and Stay Volumizing Hairspray £4.25
Hairspray has to be good for me to use it, most sprays weight my hair down rather than giving it volume and I only use either Elnett or Pantene volumising simply because they are the only two I have tried that don't give me sticky weighed down hair. This is definitely a good spray and ranks alongside my Elnett and Pantene. You only need a small amount and is great when waving and curling your hair to give the style volume and hold without that horrible product-filled filled. It also combs out really easily and gives a nice shine.

Overall

Added volume at the roots and the crown which did last a good 6 hours
Made hair nice and shiny

Powder Play Volumizing and Texturizing Powder £12.75
This a new product added to the Big Sexy Hair range.

Designed to create "maximum fullness, dimension and texture INSTANTLY on dry hair. The fastest, easiest way to get Big Sexy Hair 13 in seconds.

This a powder which when sprinkled onto your hair the powder liquifies and absorbs into the hair (so apply to roots) and massage in to give lots of volume and lift.  This gives a lot of great texture and fullness and is similar to the Label.M product which is my product of the week currently.

Overall out of the 3 products I was sent I like the powder play the most.  I would definitely appreciate any recommendations for other items especially in the organics range to try.

I can't believe it's July already!  I uploaded my June favourites video yesterday and for once it was dead on the first of the month woo! That's efficiency for you.




And yes thanks to all of your gallant efforts I had enough confidence to wear the shorts from Zara.  I couldn't style them up as I was at work and to be honest I was so hot yesterday I couldn't deal with any jewellery!  It's also pretty hard to take pictures of yourself alone, in a toilet. So I did try but sorry it's like the world's worst OOTD. I will try harder!
