SPF30 Handcream - Hissyfit Handy Work Review

I'd read about Hissyfit Cosmetics on another blog but never seen it in store, so not thought that much about it again until recently when I was offered the opportunity to try out any product I liked.  I picked Handy Work as, you may have heard me mention before, one of my pet peeves is seeing people ignore their hands when they use lotions and SPF and my Lush hand cream was starting to annoy me.

Hissyfit products are Australian and are made using the finest ingredients, including powerful botanical extracts such as Australian indigenous daisy 'cehami' (centipedia cunninghamii). The SPF30 is broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection.

The hands show the first signs of ageing and age at the same rate as our face, but people do not pay as much attention to their hands as they do to our face but you will end up with pigmentation and age spots if you don't use SPF on your hands as the sun causes wrinkles and age spots everywhere.  I know it's hard to think about ageing hands right now, but a little pre-emptive work now with a high SPF will save you the worry later.

Handy work by Hissyfit is a SPF 30 hand cream with anti ageing properties.

Scent - The initial mint note dies down very quickly to leave a gentle scent of Terry's chocolate orange! The scent is light and subtle, you can only smell it upon initial application and then it dies down very quickly. It smells yummy.

Packaging - nice tube which you can either stand up or lay down. It is also quite flat so it fits in my work drawer easily and in the side pocket in my handbag.

Consistency - this is the best thing about the cream. You need a pea sided amount as pictured above for both hands, just rub between your palms then smooth over the backs of your hands and it is instantly absorbed.

I have never used a hand cream that absorbs so quickly yet is so moisturising and smoothing. I was actually really surprised that they have managed to make it do this. Normally my hands slip and slide over my keyboard making it greasy and for that reason I often skimp on the hand cream but this means you could (if you so chose) reapply over and over and over, as it just sinks straight in.

Pros
SPF30
Brilliant consistency
Nice smell
Non greasy
Absorbs almost instantly
A little goes a long way

Cons
Doesn't seem to be available in many/any freestanding shops for you to test before purchase.
A bit pricey
Hissyfit also make a SPF50 foundation which seems come in a decent range of colours from pale to dark so if you are looking for a foundation with a high SPF they might be worth a look if the hand cream is anything to go by.

The best price I could find this for online was £16.15 from Feelunique - the RRP is £19.00

I so loved this when you pulled it out of your bag on Friday evening. I need to start looking after my hands like I mentioned to you, so think I need some of this stuff!

Oh wow this sounds amazing! I've wanted a handcream with a high SPF for a long time but been unable to find one. It's great that it not only has the high protection but works brilliantly too. But the price scares me :(
