Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to tone my thighs!

If you've been reading the blog for a while you will have noticed that I am currently on a mission to find products that actually work in the cellulite, stretchmark and toning field for my horrible cellulite on the backs of my thighs, the stretchmarks on my inner thighs and general toning of the leg area.

I have just finished trialling two products at once since one is a drink and one is a cream, my plan was to attack both internally and externally.

The drink I have been using is called Coffee Shape £24.95 for a fortnight supply.  Coffee shape is a cult item in Australia apparently.  It is made with raw green coffee beans rather than roasted, which means it is packed with anti-oxidants that are healthier for you than your regular coffee as well as having weight loss properties. It works on the same principle as green tea instead of regular tea.

I usually have 1 cup of coffee per day before breakfast and you just swap your morning coffee with a Coffee Shape before breakfast, so it's pretty easy to incorporate into your daily routine. That's all you have to do to use this product, have one cup of coffee a day using the sachets, 15 minutes before your breakfast.

It has a distinctive taste but if you like strong coffee I think you will enjoy it. Does it work? It's hard to say for definite but I have lost 2lb in the last fortnight of using and since I wasn't doing anything different or eating differently or even trying to lose weight I thought that was pretty good. You buy a 14 day supply and you can either use this as a quick fix before a holiday or continue if you see the benefits.  I like that it didn't give me that horrible buzzing feeling that other weight loss tablets and drinks tend to do.

They have test data and independant market research if you want to check it out - coffee shape slimming but to cut a long story short the way this works is - the naturally occurring, active compound in green coffee beans, chlorogenic acid, limits glucose intake in the small intestine and regulates metabolism. In addition, by inhibiting the activity of glucose-6-phosphotase, it limits the release of glucose into the general circulation, thus encouraging the release of triglycerides from adipose tissue.

The cream I am using is the Madara Eco Body Contouring Cream.  £19.35 for 150ml  MÁDARA skincare is free from harmful chemicals and preservatives, environmentally friendly, not tested on animals and is certified Organic by Ecocert.

This cream is designed to firm and tighten skin and give elasticity by facilitating creation of callogen and elastin fibres.

The cream is quite thick and you do have to rub it in well for it to absorb, although the hot weather has made it much easier to apply as it melts in quicker. You can use it all over the body but I have just been using the products in these trials on my legs from bum to ankle.

My skin is really moisturised all day after using and the scent lingers all day too which is a pain a I don't really like it, it smells...herbally. Probably since all MÁDARA products contain typical Baltic herbs and plants like calendula, plantain and and rosehip.

The fronts of my thighs and my knees look much better which I am very grateful for, no difference to inner thighs though.  The skin also feels firmer on my bum, not quite Kylie's arse but still an improvement nonetheless.

The Madara cream does have lovely packaging and is Organic and has been certified by ECOCERT SAS –B.P. 47 F-32600 according to ECOCERT Standards. It is also suitable for vegans.

In case you haven't heard of Madara before they can be purchased at Selfridges, Harrods, Fenwick and at lots of online retailers - in fact so many that I thought it was easier to link you to the list!  where-to-buy

I would give both of these products a 7.5/10 but the coffee was definitely a lot easier to do and probably the one I would personally repurchase.

I am actually so much  happier with my legs than before I started this project on improving them.  It's definitely been worth it.  I would encourage anyone else to blog about a specific issue if it's bugging you, it really spurred me on to fix the problem or at least try to.

Both items sent for review by PR.
