Nails Inc Queensgate Mews and Embracing The Pale

It’s definitely the time for Autumn/Winter nail varnish. I am back to dark colours and I really do love them.  Brights are fun but I am definitely a black/red/purple girl.

Thankfully this year Nails Inc agree with my choices and have got this trend covered with their new range of darker, muted shades to compliment the hues spotted on this season’s catwalks.

These four limited edition colours also boast THE must have nail colour  Lowndes Square. This perfect shade of lilac mink will, I am sure, be a favourite among many but personally my favourite is Queensgate Mews which is today’s NOTD. Gorgeous!  Perfect for Thursday night.

The A/W Collection contains:

Lowndes Square–a unique shade of lilac/mink
Duke of Wellington Place–the perfect gunmetal grey
Queensgate Mews–a sultry glossy black grape hue
Palace Garden Terrace–this season’s answer to greige

The new A/W collection colours from nails inc. are available as a set for £25.00 or on their own for £10.50 on line.

Embracing the Pale

I have decided to embrace the paler side of life for a week or two.  As much as I love fake tan I have pretty good skin these days and since the outfit, makeup and nail varnish for Thursday's night out is along the goth detective lines (black, black and more black) I thought I would embrace the porcelain ghostly whiteness my skin naturally is (back to not wearing foundation because it's too dark) well, at least until the weekend.

I must say it's certainly a lot less effort but eeeeww I can't stand looking at my arms and legs without fake tan, I look like corned beef - all mottled!

Do you like coloured nailpolish or dark? How do you feel about fake tanning/not fake tanning?

Love that collection - I much prefer autumn/winter shades too. Yay for embracing the pale - I'm doing that too at the moment, mostly through laziness though.

Hi Sarah ;)

I do like much more dark nail polish. I completely agree with you, my favourite definitely is Queensgate Mews and you describe it so well as a glossy black grape hue!!! I do love as well that color in my toe nails.
As i wrote you in my previous message, i think you have such a beautiful natural skin color definitely "porcelain doll"!!!
I do like very much fair skin like yours, although i like as well that healthy golden glow when the skin is light tan. Considering the damage the sun cause to the skin i´m not really fan to sun tan, but somehow i do prefer more than a fake tan, just my opinion.
So sorry to ask, and please don´t take me wrong, but are you all right hun? Your eyes look a little bit different, a little bit sad...
Hope is just my mistake and you are great.
Take care
Anahi xoxo

Love these shades! I embrace the pale more often than not and only fake tan when it's hot and I'm wearing less or when I'm on holiday, so only a few weeks out of the year. I use lots of scrubs and illuminating lotions to make my skin glow without fake tan for the rest of the year! xxx

@City Girls Fashion Box you deffo need 1 or 2 x

@Steph xox that is a cute one!x

@Anahi Hi sweetie, looove dark toenails too. Hope you had a lovely holiday?

I guess I do have rather porcelain skin, lots of moisturising and buffing, serums and anti ageing stuff helps haha! I don't have the tan in the sun option, in England there aren't many sunny days ever :( As to my eyes, I guess you must be a good reader of people, I am a little sad - sweet of you to notice since I guess I am really just a stranger! Feeling a bit down about a few things but I am hoping they come right x

@May - its so much less effort especially when you need to prace about naked for the tan to dry and its freezing cold!

I was looking through my nail varnish collection and realised I don't have any nice autumn colours! I am so so pale, I do need a bit of colour in winter or I look really ill!
