NOTD, Illamasqua, Lulu Timebomb, Soup and Nibbles!

This has been a funny old 4 day week. I have been so tired I am staying tonight at my mum's house just to relax!

Yesterday I bought some Illamasqua products while I was in Selfridges, one was my mystery gift for the lovely innerbelle which I don't want to send out until I have got the second Mac lipstick for nicoletta as finding Bombshell isn't easy! I am hoping they will have it in the Covent Garden shop tomorrow.

I bought myself Illamasqua's Jo'mina nail varnish from the Body Electrics collection. At £13 it was pricey but the formulation is absolutely amazing. The colour is not one I have and is like no other lilac I have seen.

It has a cream formulation and is a vibrant and luminous lilac shade. It is such an original shade and I am well and truly sold on Illamasqua nail varnish, I am happy to pay more for it and the bottle is great and easy to use as is the brush.

Without flash left, with flash right

I have been invited to the Illamasqua event next Saturday however I had a look on their website and in store yesterday and some of the new collection products are already available and are amazing.

The new collection is called Art of Darkness

The product that is already available here is the Precision Ink long lasting waterproof eyeliner. This costs £16.50 and is available in either gold - Alchemy or black - Abyss.

I can 100% vouch for them being long lasting, I had to scrub and scrub to get them off my hand after 8 hours!

I will most definitely be buying this in black and also the fantastic A/W nail varnish called Hectic which is an olive green, THE colour for this winter.

Beverly Hills Formula Whitening Toothpaste

My Beverly Hills toothpaste addiction is known by quite a lot of people, and even friends and family have started to buy this exclusively too as I turn my nose up at any other brand. Its a cheap toothpaste so I am not being a snob, this brand is just a million times better than all the other crappy fake whitening brands that don't work.

So I was sent their two newest toothpastes yesterday and you would have thought I had been sent a diamond! I don't think people understand how much I love this toothpaste haha! For example we have 3 backup tubes plus these two ones I was sent plus the one we are using currently all in our bathroom.

As you can see they sent me a Rapid Sensitivity Action Total Enamel and Total Breath 1 Minute

So far the total breath 1 minute is my favourite but we shall see after a week or so how they both go. And you can find out about my beloved products here if you are impatient beverly hills formula

Soup Glorious Soup

My food addiction no.1 of the week has been soup. Three minutes in the microwave with a toasted pitta and we have dinner. My favourite brands are Marks and Spencer and Waitrose own brand soups but the overall winner is New Covent Garden Soup for their Leek and Potato, Broccoli and Stilton and all manner of yummylicious soups.

My second addiction has been bear granola nibbles in Cocoa Cherry Pie which are gorgeous sprinkled on muesli, with the amazing Rachel's organic low fat rhubarb yogurt, fat free Greek yogurt or alone. Mmmm.

Sigma Brushes

I have really been testing these brushes out this week, how they perform and how they wash and retain their shape and whether they shed so there will be a proper review up soon. There are a few clear winners on the brush category and so far only 1 brush out of the brushroll that I am not impressed with so overall I think that's really good.

Benny is on his period

Look at that death stare! He has been hating on me today.

My Mum Tests Out Lulu's Hand to Hand Combat
Timebomb Hand Cream

As you can see even at 59 my mum has nicer nails than I do, depressing or what! She has been trying out this Lulu anti ageing hand cream for about a month and I wanted to share her findings as she actually was pretty impressed with this product compared to her normal hand cream.

Price
On QVC this costs £24 for two tubes, so obviously £12 a tube.

Packaging
This is a nice and easy to use tube and it's handy that it is transparent so you can see how much product is left.

Scent
Lavender

Results compared to other products

My mum said the consistency of the hand cream was non-greasy and sank in quickly. The effects over the time she used it compared to her usual Loccitane Shea butter hand cream were that her hands appear visibly smoother and more moisturised, skin appears less crepey and feels nicer to the touch. This in turn made her hands look and feel younger. The only drawback is the cost vs how long this lasts, as the tube does get used up very quickly. Repurchase - yes but sparingly to save money.

Overall this looks like a great stocking filler for mums, sisters and aunties this Christmas and on QVC you get two in the pack so you could give one to a friend as well.

I <3 My Mummy

So have you been addicted to any particular foods this week? Are you interested to see the new Illamasqua collection?

I fell in love with that nail polish!! I've read amazing things about these varnishes, but they are so expensive! Even more expensive than a gloss from the brand. But anyway, I think I need to try them so I will buy soon ;)

Thanks for the amazing review!

When I first bought Jo'Mina I was like why the hell did I buy this, I have so many lilacs, but then when I put it on I was like WOAH. It is completely different to other ones.

And I LOVE BEVERLEY HILLS TOOTHPASTE! Haha it's the only stuff I'll use!
