Body Oils
One of the easiest ways to hydrate
your skin is to use an oil. They often suggest applying after a warm
shower, while the skin is still damp so it absorbs the oil quickly and
you aren't greasy. Personally I like grease and oil, it's a nice
feeling for someone with eczema as normally I feel like I have body dandruff!
I have loads and for some bizarre reason the most repurchased one is Bio Oil. Now I have no idea why I like this as it goes against everything I stand for really, it hasn't got nice natural ingredients, it contains mineral oil, it smells a bit weird, it's orange!! But yet I really love it. I can't say I have noticed it fading or reducing stretchmarks but it did work well on my scars, but then so might have any other oil, I have no idea.
I have been searching for a nicer oil, with less chemicals and nasties but something I enjoy using. I could of course slather myself in olive oil or sweet almond oil, but that's just a bit boring!

Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body
Oil
I was sent this to review a few weeks ago by a lovely PR who was shocked that I hadn't tried Weleda before, so was I frankly! It took me a week or so to test it out as the packaging put me off slightly. It isn't the easiest to handle or decant and sometimes the product does tend to pour out too rapidly.
Dermatological tests have shown that Pomegranate Regenerating Body
Oil accelerates natural skin renewal by 50% in two weeks.
Luckily
the gorgeously scented oil more than makes up for the splash-happy packaging
and I have been energetically slapping this on every night for a fortnight.
As I say my skin is drier than the Sahara so I don't need to apply
it to damp skin for it to sink in but if your skin is normal then definitely
apply just after bathing or you won't be able to get dressed for hours.
The oil does have an orangy yellow colour
and rather surprisingly does smell of pomegranate mixed with orange juice
rather than just plain pomegranate. I love the scent of oranges as
it is a current obsession so I was more than happy to find this out.
This is definitely a contender against
my obsessive Bio Oil use as it is moisturising and smooth to apply, smells
gorgeous and is great for the boobs, hips and thighs which is where I like
to apply my oils if you wondered, I can't imagine anything worse than dry
crepey boobs!
The one slight problem is the price - £19.95 from the Weleda website which might make you feel less inclined to use it daily. Perhaps one for me to use a bit more sparingly.
Do you like body oils or do they make you feel greasy? Have you tried anything from Weleda before?

I'm a big Weleda fan but have yet ton try this, again because of the price. Plus i do find that Bio Oil works so unless this is better in my skin i might not use it as a daily product either, The pomegranate hand cream is also really lovely BTW!
This seems really good, i love the smell of pomegranate! I have used their cellulite oil before but i didn't think it did much!
Love 'em(I prefer them especially my DIY pure organic c/p sesame oils) Did you know that the 'Bio oil' is a pretrochemical-based product? For a greener, purer and kinder alternative make your own using essential oils of lavender and rosemary with sesame oil as a base(That's the not so secret ingredients but better:). The skin is the largest body organ, we are wahat we absorb!

@MakeupLoveer they might have some stuff on ebay, they sell mini sizes to so great to test and see if you like something x
@socialitedreams thanks hun, the packaging is cute but, I dunno kind of plain - i love flashy bling haha!
@Glitterish Allsorts I think this is definitely better on the skin, I just have a weird bizzare addiction to bio oil and I don't know why - it isn't because its the best I just seem to like it!
@Kerrymarie to be honest cellulite products that work are few and far between, I haven't tried the weleda one but when I was testing loads of cellulite products there were so many I didn't bother putting a review up cos they were just useless!
@Cosmic yes I did know, that's why I mentioned the chemicals and explained that it's not something I would want to use which is why I am looking for alternatives. I am allergic to lavender and not really into rosemary, I like girly scents and nice packaging which is why I don't make my own products, plus the mess and time aspect as with a fulltime job and blogging there are not enough hours! xx
