A few weeks ago I posted with a link so you girls could vote for your favourite travel beauty products. Well the results are in. Anti-ageing treatments and sun protection have both beaten mascara, nail varnish and concealer to be crowned the UK’s top travel beauty items, topping a list of must-have cosmetic essentials voted for by the public in this year’s Heathrow Travel Product Awards.
Proving that a clear complexion is more important than a bursting make-up bag for frequent flyers, Prevage® Face Advanced Anti-aging, a powerful antioxidant-rich serum available from Heathrow’s World Duty Free stores, took the most votes in the awards. (Lyndsey from Toni & Guy in Covent Garden swears by this)
Designed to recognise the great and good of travel essentials that holidaymakers just can’t travel without, the awards were shortlisted by a panel of travel experts and voted for by the general public a Heathrow Travel Product Awards microsite. The resulting winning products can be viewed now at www.heathrow.com/winners.
Following up in second place was Soltan’s Light Lotion, a simple sun cream that promises protection against the sun’s rays in a range of different SPF factors. Sisley’s Supremya anti-aging night cream took third place in the list of holiday beauty buys.
Brian Woodhead, Retail Concessions Director at Heathrow, said: “It’s important for passengers to take care of themselves when flying frequently, so it’s great to see some really quality skin protection topping Heathrow’s list of travel must-haves. The results of the best travel beauty products highlight the range of in-flight beauty essentials available to buy at the airport, with significant savings to be made compared to the high street.”
The winning products will be showcased in a 3m x 2m giant suitcase in Terminal 5 for the month of October – and available to purchase at Heathrow with significant savings compared to the high street.
Apologies if you are having trouble viewing the blog with the new template, it's a work in progress and will be fixed as fast as possible but as someone else is doing the technical stuff for me, and she is in the USA it might take a bit longer. So if you could be patient that would be much appreciated xx
