L’Wren Scott collaborates with Lancome

27 October 2010

It's very rare that I get excited about an entire Holiday collection (and for once the entire Mac holiday collection has put me right off) and I am especially surprised that I am excited for a Lancome collaboration collection, but, I am!  Lancome has collaborated with American stylist L’Wren Scott on their new Holiday 2010 makeup colection and I think it looks gorgeous.

L’Wren was involved in the development of each and every product at the Lancôme Laboratories in Paris which I find quite impressive, I somehow doubt Beyonce and Cheryl Cole are fiddling about with hair dyes somewhere in a L'Oreal laboratory.

The products, which are all decorated with L'wrens signature include:

L’Absolu Rouge - Rouge L’Wren lipstick and L'Absolu Rouge Crème de Brillance - Rouge L’Wren a luxurious cream gloss that combines Pro-Xylane and Hyaluronic Acid to nourish and plump the lips. Hyaluronic acid is also known to heal skin so this is perfect for the Winter weather.

Le Vernis nail colour in Le Gris L’Wren (grey) and Rouge L’Wren (Red burgundy)

Ombre Absolue Palette Quad – Les Gris L’Wren eye shadow with sexy, smoky blacks and greys.

Hypnôse Drama Top Coat in silver-grey.

This gorgeous new range will be on sale at Lancôme counters nationwide from 1 November priced between £12.00 and £32.00.  You can find more information about L'Wren here or purchase Lancome online here

I am very excited about this collection and definitely plan on picking up the lipstick.  It is definitely my kind of style for Winter makeup, dark smoky eyes and a pink berry lip which looks great with pale and dark skintones alike.  I am certainly impressed with more recent Lancôme offerings.  I would normally steer well clear apart from the mascaras and juicy tubes but I think it's high time I went and tried a few more goodies.  Will you be indulging? Are there any other Holiday 2010 collections you are looking forward to?

It looks really nice, I particularly like the look of the lip and nail items. You made me laugh with your Beyonce and Cheryl Cole comment, you can't really see them donning lab coat, over shoes and hair nets, can you?

Haha can you imagine? It would probably be a Balmain lab coat ;p

I can agree with the MAC Christmas collection - i'm steering clear of that one too. Not at all taken with the tartan packaging and after my dissapointment with the VV collection i'm having a MAC break for a while. Instead i'll be trying things from cosmetic ranges i've never used anything from before or go back to things like Estee Lauder and Lancome that seem to be offering fabulous new things.
I love the look of this range, really gorgeous xx

LOL! I wonder if you can get stretchy over shoes to cover designer heels? Surely there's a market for it ;)

I can't wait to play with all these products!
If you're going to start indulging in Lancome products then I'd definitely recommend:
Bi-Facil eyemakeup remover, Eau Micellaire Douceur express cleansing water, Tonique Douceur toning water, Peach Fever blush, L'Absolue Rouge lipstick in 153 and Baume Eclat balm to oil cleanse.

That lipstick and gloss looks amazing, love the colour and the ingredients seems promising, but not so keen on the palette and nail polish... i guess because i don´t think it suits my skin colour... but definitely it suits yours, i´m sure you look lovely with smoky eyes!
