I find pencilling in my eyebrows darker every day a right old bore. So I was interested to attend an event hosted by Tracie Giles as she has 25 years professional beauty experience and she is a member of the Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals (USA) and the British Association of Beauty Therapists and Cosmetologists (UK). So you are definitely in safe hands.
The gorge Aly, looking good even in what looks like a bin bag!
Many woman may choose to have semi permanent makeup, from cosmetic reasons such as time saving, or people in the public eye who are often photographed to women who have had chemotherapy or alopecia. Tracie is even able to help women define their lips and camouflage a cleft palette or tattoo a nipple after a breast reconstruction to make women feel better about themselves. Tracie ensures she always gives the client the best advice possible, suggesting a natural look (aka not like Colleen Rooney’s super dark brows) and mixes each client’s pigments for their makeup by hand on the day of their treatment to compliment their skin tone.
Priya from beautywowza had a beauty spot put just above her upper lip. The area was numbed with anaesthetic and then it took literally minutes to apply the carefully blended ink. Tracie advised that it is best not to colour over current beauty spots as if you then have a problem with it you wouldn’t be aware as the tattoo would mask it, which could obviously be potentially dangerous. This is very sensible advice!
Then Aly had her eyebrows done, and Tracie measures these out perfectly and matches them to the rest of your features so they are absolutely perfect.
Whilst Ali had sensitive skin I didn’t hear any actual yelps of pain, it apparently feels like you are being scratched. Once the skin is penetrated the anaesthetic can be absorbed quicker and easier so once that has got to work you do not feel any pain. Your eyebrows will look slightly dark to start with but, depending on your skin tone you should have perfect brows in 3-5 days although you will need to go and get a top up at this point, as Tracie’s philosophy is to go slow and add more if necessary rather than applying far too much to start with. I was very impressed and a treatment which I had previously thought rather scary actually became very appealing. I do hope at some point I will be able to get the eyebrow treatment done as it must save so much hassle. And you don’t have to end up looking like a loon aka Colleen Rooney. Tracie suggested that the pigment chosen for her was just too dark, not that the eyebrows were a bad job.
As you can see there is an extensive
pigment selection to get exactly the right shade
Here are some before and after pics of Tracie’s work:
As you can see her work is very natural and I think it really is enhancing without detracting from the natural features of all of the girls pictures.
If you are interested, all of the information, pricing and gallery of pictures can be seen here www.traciegiles.co.uk along with information about other treatments such as the gloss and go lip treatment! I think that looks amazing.
What do you think? Are you surprised that this sort of thing can look natural?
