Remington Titanium RH150 Flex and Pivot Rotary Shaver Review

10 February 2011

Hello! I am Matt. Clearly I am a trainee beauty blogger
but I have tried very hard!

I was very kindly offered a few different items to choose from after attending the fabulous Remington bloggers event last month.  I do try and share the freebies around to friends, colleagues and family when I get them but poor old Matt normally only gets the odds and ends that I don't like (poor man is often left to use Sienna-X luminous pink body scrub or some dodgy golden shower gel).  So I picked the Remington Flex and Pivot Rotary Shaver and presented it to Matt for him to review.

Buy from Boots or most other online electrical retailers for around £139.99

Matt's Review

I have really enjoyed testing out this razor as I wouldn't have been able to afford it to be honest.  The blades are sharper than any other electric shaver that I have used.  It gives you a very close shave, not quite the same as a razor such as a Mach 3 Gilette but much better than a regular electric shaver.

I like the stand that comes with the razor, this is because it charges in the stand rather than having to plug it in and leave it on the floor which is obviously a bit of a hazard.

It is a lot easier to shave around your jaw and chin than with a standard electric shaver as they often don't bend to the shape of your face, but this one does which ensures that all of the hair is shaved evenly.

The design is very stylish, I like how it seems rather 'chromed' and it has a good grip on the handle. The digital display tells you how much battery you have left which is really handy so you know when to give it a charge and it is easy to clean as you just pop off the top of the shaver and wipe it out with a little brush.

When I saw the price (£139.99) I did think it was expensive for me personally, as I had never used one that had cost more than perhaps £20 before and had always assumed they all did basically the same thing.  After using it I definitely see why it costs more, and in comparison to other top of the line electric shavers, some of which cost around £200 it seems fair to me at this price.

Overall I would give this electric shaver 9 out of 10, simply because you can still get a closer shave with a standard razor, therefore you would have to shave ever day which sometimes I just don't have time to do, but in comparison with other electric shavers it is much much better.

I love the fact that he points out the 'obvious hazard' of having wire on the floor - he needs to learn that for beauty we will take on any hazards!! Good review Matt - I actually would consider this as a gift for my boyfriend.
