Burt's Bees Radiance Body Wash and Body Lotion

2 March 2011

I love a bit of Burt's Bees and in the absence of being able to use any make-up or facial skincare at the moment I wanted to share with you two amazing products from the Burt's Bees body range called the Radiance Body Wash and the Radiance Body lotion.

I first heard about the Burt's Bees Radiance range, specifically the Body Lotion, when I watched a haul video by Juicytuesday last year on youtube where she was really raving about it. I kinda though hmm ok I'm sure it's nice but it's just a moisturiser? Until now. You really have to test this to see just how amazing it makes your skin look, I am not sure if you can even see from the picture above but I took like 20 and they all looked the same! Basically it gives your skin a tiny golden glow, nothing so noticeable that anyone looking at you skin would know that you were wearing a radiance enhancing moisturiser.

It makes you skin soooooo amazingly soft and lightly scented kind of like a baby lotion (not Johnsons baby) but just a soft creamy gentle fragrance. I love it!  This is great for you arms and chest or any skin on display to make it look lovely and radiant.

The radiance body wash has exactly the same scent and is sooo creamy.  I love creamy washes rather than gels, so nice and soothing when my skin is dry. Ah hell it's always dry!  The wash is infused with royal jelly and jojoba beads to exfoliate and smooth you skin, so it's the perfect prep to do prior to using the moisturiser to help it sink in well.

Mmm I absolutely love these two products, I thought I would note down the benefits of jojoba beads and royal jelly for those that wondered:

Jojoba beads: Jojoba Beads are made from 100% Pure Natural Jojoba wax esters and are ideal for shower gels, soaps and body scrubs. These free-flowing, spherical jojoba beads are superior to nut shell, pumice and polyethylene exfoliants because they do not leave micro-lacerations on the skin. These microscopic cuts can result in premature wrinkles and provide an entrance for bacteria into the skin's surface. Also, PNJ Jojoba Beads do not irritate or burn the skin the way AHA/BHA or other acid > source purcelljojoba

Royal Jelly: Royal jelly is also rich in nucleic acids, RNA and DNA. Gelatin, another significant component, is one of the precursors of collagen, which is another component of royal jelly. Collagen is an anti-aging element that keeps the skin looking smooth and youthful. > source pureroyaljelly.com

So loving Burt's at the moment, have you tried their stuff?  These are available from Boots these days too, Bluewater definitely has the range. Body wash £10.20 and lotion £10.20 BUT there's a 3 for 2 on at the moment as well! Quel bargaino.

Burt's Bees has a face cream from the Radiance collection that I used a few years back. I didn't stick with the formula for my face. But the body lotions are amazing! I love them!

BTW, now i'm looking for a good toner for my dry sensitive skin... Have you tried or heard anything from the Burt's Bee Radiance Toner? Makeupalley.com seems to have no review about this radiance toner :(
Thanks!, Hope you are having a great weekend hon :D

I reviewed the Radiance Body Lotion last year and it didn't do a thing for me and I ended up giving it to a friend who loves it so it went to a good home x
