I hope you have all had a fab weekend. I spent mine working and supporting my friend Danielle running her first half marathon - very exciting and she did it in just 2 hours 15 which is very impressive!
So before I get onto the review I thought I would list a few goals I have now got in relation to my health and fitness as I think mixing it up and having goals makes sure you continue to work hard.
* To maintain my gym commitment at 4/5 times a week
* To find those flipping Nike Free Run+ 3.0 V5 in Tropical Punch that have sold out everywhere
* To make sure I wear a proper sports bra when running so my boobs don't feel like they have been kicked in.
So what’s up with the Myprotein Impact Whey?
I was told after purchasing by an Instagram friend that I should have purchased the Whey Isolate powder as it contains less lactose but hey it was a bit late by then as I had just received 1kg of it!
Blueberry protein smoothie
I picked the cookies and cream flavour and I really enjoy this flavour when I am using it in fruit smoothies as it is sweet and really gives a nice desert-y feel.
So this is designed for either a pre or post workout shake, to add to your protein pancakes, waffles or just mixed with some yoghurt to up the protein content in your diet. This is just a basic protein powder and I use it mixed with some frozen fruit and 300ml unsweetened almond milk as either my breakfast or afternoon snack when I get home from work. I can't have it straight after my workout as I don't have a blender handy then but I try and have it soon after if at all possible. The packet is much easier to transport than a big tub and at only £12.99 you get a great bargain.
While I do like this protein it was definitely correct that I need to get isolate next time as this impacy whey can make you feel rather bloated afterwards, however it does do the job and tastes really nice so for the price, if you can't afford to get a more fancy and technical product it will work fine. The bloating doesn't last very long at all maybe half an hour. The powder blends well in my blender, it doesn't go lumpy at all or taste horrible or dusty like some powders.
If you have any questions then please do comment or tweet me @sarahloolaa
I will hopefully by trying out some Maxitone products soon for review and my current review project is Maximuscle - after that Jodie Marsh's new protein called Rip Up seems to be calling my name to test it out.
Protein can be purchased at http://www.myprotein.com/uk/ or the isolate version can be purchased here for just £18.49 http://www.myprotein.com/UK/products/impact_whey_isolate
Have a lovely week xx
