Wonderful moments

There are moment’s in a girl’s life when she really just needs to relax, chill out and get pampered.  In an ideal world this would be something that all women could afford but spa treatments are often a very pricey trade-off for the reduced wrinkles and de stressing that the spa days provide.

Selfmade wellness

Of course, there are various ways to relax at home = although it is not comparable to a professional treatment, here are some tips for creating a spa feel at home:

  • Having a bath – adding a few drops of essential oil to your bath can evoke different moods from refreshing and rejuvenating to relaxing and de-stressing.  Lavender essential oil provides a feeling of calmness and relaxation,  whereas eucalyptus has anti inflammatory effects and myrtle is gentle on the skin.
  • Treatment masks – before putting on a face mask for some skincare, ensure your face is thoroughly cleansed and toned.  After your face is clean, mix together a mashed banana and an egg and apply to your face avoiding the eye area. Leave for 20 minutes and then rinse off.  During this time you can soak cotton wool pads with cold milk and rest them over your eyes to de-puff your eye bags and cool and soothe.
  • Massaging – It is possible to massage yourself – it might not be quite as relaxing as someone else doing it at a spa but if you warm some oil and gently knead the knots in your feet and hands it will definitely have a positive effect.  Using coconut oil for this is a great idea as it is brilliant for the skin and also has a very low melting point so you can warm it in your hands.
