2 Super Cheap Products to Help Chapped Lips

Lip scrubs are one of those products that you know you should probably use but often forget.  I put off using any of them that are in a tub or jar that you have to dig your finger.  I don’t like products that get goop or grit under your nails.  Here are 2 Super Cheap Products to Help Chapped Lips that not only get the job done well, they don’t leave you and your sink in a sticky gritty mess.

To use a lip exfoliating stick simply take off the lid, and massage the stick into your lips using a circular motion.  Rinse the grainy residue off with water or a flannel and then either apply lip balm or use before applying your lipstick for a smooth finish.

Saturated Colour Scrubstick £6.99

This one better if you have sore or chapped lips, not just dry skin.  If your lips are chapped this won’t hurt them and is the most hydrating of the two.

This scrub uses sugar and balm to exfoliate and moisturise in one. One tip is to keep this in the fridge as the high content of balm means it melts easily. You can use this daily as it’s gentle but you’ll see a difference from the first use.

MUA Lip Scrub £3.00

This lip scrub is better for those with lots of dry skin on their lips but no soreness.  It’s less moisturising and the exfoliating granules are larger so it gives a harder exfoliation to really get off the dry skin flakes.

For £3 this stuff is a such a bargain, rub it on, wipe off with a tissue and then apply some lip balm – no flakes left!  Definitely worth the price and I will be buying again when mine runs out.

Overall

I think these are both as good as each other as they are for slightly different uses. I’m glad I got both especially as they are so much cheaper than others I’ve seen available.  And they  don’t involve me being covered in bits of sugar!
