Empties and Quick Reviews 3
I am actually getting through quite a lot of stuff at the moment. I can’t believe I am now onto empties post number 3! So here are my speedy reviews on each of the items I used up since the last post, whether I would or would not buy them again and why.
I couldn’t believe how good this was for the price. It’s only around £6/7 usually. The exfoliating particles are the perfect amount of scrubby, it contains oils so it’s not drying and the scent is blissful too! Great replacement for my old fave from Soap and Glory which is just too pricey now and I would definitely buy again. Unfortunately whenever I looked for it in store I couldn’t find it so I had to get the summery yellow one they do instead, which has pictures of apples on it. I will have to update if that works similarly well!
This stuff is the work of a complete genius. This is a body lotion you put on in the shower, leave on when you leave your hair conditioner to soak. Then you wash it off! Your skin is soft and smooth, but you aren’t sticky and can get dressed straight after drying off from your shower. I don’t know how or why this works, I just know it’s amazing. It has made me moisturise my body so much more than usual. I have already repurchased one. This is a must have. There’s also one for extra dry skin and an aftersun version which is brilliant.
This cleanser was sent to me and I hadn’t used a creamy cleanser or a foam cleanser in quite a while so I was interested in using it. I did use all of it, so it definitely is a pretty good product. I did really like using it in the morning, I didn’t like using it for my makeup removal as I prefer a balm as my skin is so dry. Overall I wouldn’t buy this again, I did like it but I didn’t love it enough to replace my cleansing balms. It’s definitely a good product for those that like washing with water or having a foam cleanser.
I bought this to take with me on holiday as it’s a mini size. The London scent is really nice and I love that it comes in a mini size. I can’t say that it’s any better than batiste and considering Batiste is so often on sale and costs less than this I don’t think I would buy it again.I mean it’s nice, and I have nothing bad to say about it, but if something is similarly good for cheaper, who would buy the more expensive one?
Now I love a Dove body wash and normally buy a few different ones every couple of months with my grocery shop. But I believe this was sent to me to review. I was really not a big fan of this as it’s not scrubby enough to be an actual exfoliator so really it’s just a body wash and the scent is just the regular dove scent, whereas I prefer all of the different scents they do. Would I repurchase this – no. But I have already repurchased another Dove body wash, but just a regular one.
I bought this to use as a shower wash and as a shave gel as I was sure I had bought one and used it for that before. I wasn’t too impressed as the pump broke after two weeks of using it so there’s still loads left in there that I can’t get out. The scent is lovely and it’s a great body wash and shave gel. But the packaging is a bit hit and miss clearly!
I bought this to use with my hair extensions as it’s from the same brand that my hair extensions are from. The shampoo works really well with extensions, cleans and feels really nice and doesn’t leave your hair dry or knotty. Good price as well for an extension shampoo. After my other million shampoos run out, I do think I will repurchase.
It took me such a long time to finally finish this as, while I do really like it, there are other ones I prefer. I enjoy a microdermabrasion style scrub and this is less like a paste and is more like a cream with bigger scrubby particles. I like the scent, the packaging and how refreshed my skin looks after using it. But for £45 I don’t think it is as good as other exfoliators so I would not repurchase.
This is the best quality sheet mask that I have found so far. It’s a gel mask, not a paper one and fits your face much better. It does leave your skin brightened and hydrated. It is pretty pricey though so I don’t think I would repurchase unless I become rich overnight as the mask benefits are only temporary.
This is an amazing hair mask for dry or damaged hair. It leaves your hair smelling and looking totally amazing. I would like to repurchase this but it is very expensive. So I will have to see if I can at some point.
This is my favourite face mask in the whole world and I was so excited to have a small sample of it in a recent beauty box. Sadly it has already run out and it is so super expensive I can’t replace it. If I was rich I would literally bathe in this. It. Is. Amazing. It leaves your skin looking gorgeous, smelling gorgeous. If you can try this, do it.
This is my favourite cleanser of all time and again, I have used up another tub. I have used about 7 by now I think. I do have to repurchase this but am using up/testing a few others that I want to use first. Also, this is quite expensive and I am trying to save the pennies right now.
I really wanted to like this. I love gingerbread scented anything and the simple jar and white candle really fit in with the style of my house. But the scent throw is only about 2 feet. Normally a small votive Yankee candle can scent an entire room as I do only live in an apartment, not a mansion! But this didn’t even scent my bathroom which is the smallest room. Disappointing mostly because for the price (£10) I was expecting great things. I wouldn’t purchase again.
And that’s everything I used up over the last few months!
What have you used up?
