Jo Malone Blossom Belle Collection

& How to Get A-list Airport Service

Jo Malone has launched a limited fragrance collection for the spring of 2017, exclusively available in the world travel retail from April. Since I recently travelled to Dublin I took full advantage of the opportunity in World Duty Free to check out the range and pick up one for myself.  The Blossom Belle collection consists of three editions that are re-released from previous years.  The three perfumes are: Plum Blossom, Osmanthus Blossom and Silk Blossom (originally launched in 2012/2013 /2014).  These are limited edition so if you see them, test them out and grab your favourite while you have the chance!

Which One Should You Buy?

If you like girly perfumes – Plum Blossom is for the fruity floral lover.  With the top note of yellow plum, developing with plum blossom, jasmine and ylang-ylang, and ending with a base of sandalwood and white musk.

If you like a more unisex scent – Osmanthus Blossom is the delicate but exotic fragrance that contrasts between the sweetness of the apricot and orange blossom notes and the subtle masculinity of the base of cashmere wood.

If you’re a sexy fruity fragrance lover – Silk Blossom is the fruity spicy perfume. With notes of apricot, bergamot, pepper, silk flower, jasmine, rose, heliotrope and moss.

What Did I Choose?

I adore a light, fresh scent in Spring that isn’t too sweet or spicy (although for Winter I love a spicy scent).  For me it absolutely had to be Osmanthus Blossom. In the 100ml eau de cologne limited edition which costs £73.60.

Top notes of the spring scent include petit grain and osmanthus and I also think there are some citrus notes I can detect (might just be me)! The base is more woody and therefore more masculine, so the combination of the slight floral, citrus and osmanthus with the woody notes means it smells fresh and clean.

Do I Like the Perfume?

I adore it! It really embodies a perfect spring scent to me. I have been spritzing it every day since I got it and it is 100% my favourite Jo Malone scent so far.

Complimentary Jo Malone Hand and Arm Massage

As I mentioned I was travelling through Stanstead airport, world duty free kindly suggested I meet their concierge to learn about their services, and they arranged for me to have a complimentary pre-flight pampering treatment at Jo Malone.

I spent some time with Mandy from the concierge team and some awesome Jo Malone representatives, who talked me through the new Jo Malone items and gave me and my friend Emma a Hand & Arm Massage before my flight to Dublin. This was pure bliss and great to keep Emma chilled out as she is not a big fan of flying!

Fragrance Combining?

Jo Malone’s philosophy is Fragrance Combining, so for your hand and arm massage they will also use a mixture of fragranced products to create a personalised treatment. There are a number of fragrances that can be blended and so I chose the Osmantharus blossom perfume, and Sea Salt & Wood Sage body wash and body cream. All of the products were soothing and luxurious and that combo smells incredible together.  The massage was extremely relaxing and I spent the next two hours randomly smelling my arms as frankly, I smelled bloody great. Pretty sure the couple in the seats next to me on the plane were happy to have a row-mate who smelled good!

Get a Complimentary Hand & Arm Massage with Jo Malone Yourself

Best of all, this treatment is available to all customers (without any obligation to purchase Jo Malone products) it’s a wonderful way to relax before your flight and I thoroughly recommend it.

Kick off a weekend away with your friends or partner in style, have a cocktail or glass of bubby (I’m sure there’s a beer stash somewhere too) and enjoy some pre-flight pampering for free before jetting off on your holiday.

Want A-List Service Yourself?

To arrange a Jo Malone hand massage at the airport for yourself, or for someone to assist you like an A-lister all you have to do is contact the airport’s concierge service. The personal shoppers have excellent knowledge of all products and are available to help you choose that something special, whether it’s for someone else or a treat for yourself! If you’re always in a rush you can give your list to the personal shopper in advance and they will find your items for you.

I also tested out the amazing Reserve & Collect service when I bought my Jo Malone Blossom Belle Collection perfume. The service means you can buy before you fly and pick up your tax free shopping on your return, absolutely free. Please note this is only available to passengers flying within the EU and UK at Stanstead.
