New Sleek Cosmetics Blush In Flamingo Review

Yesterday lunchtime I finally saw these blushers in Superdrug by Sleek Cosmetics. I have wanted this since I saw someone’s blog about it and someone else’s Youtube. Now I apologise as for the life of me I cannot remember who the enablers were (so sorry) but if I remember I will add the links in.

I don’t have a lot of blushers as I have been busy trying to find my HG concealer (which I finally have – Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer when I have no fake tan and Benefit Erase Paste #1 when I have on fake tan). So I want to try and build up my collection of blush now. The prices of Sleek are so reasonable that I figure even if they don’t work out I have not lost much money (they are under £4).

I picked up Flamingo which is a bright deep pink. I think this would look fabulous on all skin tones, from pale to the darkest shade,  you just need to apply it with a light hand or a densely packed brush depending on what your skintone is and what effect you want, since I am pale even with fake tan I use my Mac 131 brush to get a light amount so I don’t look like a clown.  I think this would look amazing on darker skin.

This blush is so pigmented and I like it a bit more than the Barry M blushes which recently came out. The packaging is like a mini version of the eyeshadow palette and I think the size of the blush is about the same as a Nars one (I don’t have any Nars anymore so I can’t be 100% sure) and there is no dodgy tiny applicator like the Barry M one.  There is also a mirror in the lid which is so handy.

I prefer the quality of this blush to any other lower end blush I have used, it is not chalky and it contains no shimmer or glitter at all, it is just a matte colour which is perfect for me as if I wear shimmer I prefer it to be in a bronzer for some reason.

This is one of the lightest colours and there are about 6 in the range and it goes up to quite dark colours so there is something for every skintone which I think is brilliant, I don’t think it’s fair when make-up companies stereotype and only do make-up that would suit 1 type of person.

Here’s me with it on this morning before work. Hello!

Has anyone else got any of these/planning to get any of these? I might get the other light one before they sell out, I don’t think they are limited edition but I don’t actually know?
