The final product I received from My Pure was Lovea Bio L’Argan Shine Shampoo. I thought My Pure was the only UK stockist of Lovea products, which are certified as organic and are paraben free however I saw them at Whole Foods on Friday afternoon…
I was really interested to try a product with Argan oil as I always hear a lot about how good it is and how it is a miracle hair oil, but I have never got around to trying it. Upon reading the ingredients I was slightly confused to see that the shampoo contains 0.3% Argan Oil, as for a product that calls itself Argan Shine Shampoo you would expect it to be one of the main ingredients!
For reference my hair is dry, coloured, thin and I do have a few split ends.
My opinion
Packaging
The squeezy tube is ok, nothing fancy and since yellow is my least favourite colour I can’t say I liked it to start of with, but I have got used to it now and it does look very summery. It’s functional though and that’s the main thing! The hole where the product comes out is too big in my opinion as soon as I took the lid off it started coming out without me having to squeeze.
Scent
This really was quite weird, it smelled like nuts (am presuming that was the argan) and lemon. Not really a nice smell to me but I am sure someone will like smelling like Cif.
Consistency
This was very runny and a clear gel consistency. Unlike others I didn’t feel I had to use a lot to get a lather, products without sodium laurel sulphate tend to foam less anyway.
Price
£4.99 so good value for a natural product and I think this is the right price for this product.
Shine
My hair was actually less shiny after using this shampoo. I am not sure why to be honest as my hair felt very soft but didn’t have it’s usual shine.
Overall this didn’t suit my hair, I loved that it was natural but my hair looked worse after using this instead of better. My hair was also greasy really quickly after using this and I was shocked as my hair never ever gets greasy and it was also quite tangly which it also never is.
In short I think this shampoo would be much better for those with thick hair, possibly curly hair that is highlighted or bleached. My hair was just too thin to get the moisturising benefits and it left my hair weighed down and greasy.
This shampoo was from My Pure and retails for £4.99 for 200ml.
