The BF has always been a great fan of Radox products, as he has a bath every day so when I was offered some Radox products to review I said that I unfortunately can’t use bath products due to my eczema but mentioned offhand that the BF loved their products so they knew I wasn’t declining as I thought they were rubbish or anything.
But instead not only did they send me one of their new products from the Spa Wellbeing range which is an exfoliating body scrub that I can use (I had no idea they didn’t just make bubble bath) and they even sent me one of the bubble bath bottles specifically for Matt which he was really chuffed with (as shown by the amount he has used, I practically had to steal it from him to take a picture). So top marks for Radox’s PR lady being so lovely, as a bad pr company definitely reflects badly on the company in my opinion.
Packaging – this comes in a clear plastic squeezy bottle with the opening at the bottom which is handy for use in the shower. The picture on the front isn’t the most exciting (some spa style stones) but it is nice and non offensive, there certainly isn’t anything bad about the packaging. Also as long as you remove the lid the rest is recyclable.
Scent – omg this is gorgeous, you have to give this a sniff next time you’re in Boots or the supermarket it is lush! Smells like apricots I think I don’t even know how to describe it really its just delish. I also love the fact that you can still smell it after you have washed it off.
Scrubby-ness – I found that you don’t need to use too much of this scrub to get a result which is good, although you do need more than my usual Elemis salt glow but that is very abrasive! I like that it is also creamy as well as being exfoliating as it doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry. I would use this on arms, legs, torso and hands, I need a stronger one for feet and I wouldn’t say it would be good on the face (but then it isn’t supposed to be). I would use this two or three times a week in the summer and maybe once a week in the winter.
Value for money – This costs £1.99 for 250ml in Boots and I am at a loss to think of a brand name exfoliating scrub that is decent and costs £1.99. This is definitely a go to product if you don’t have a lot of money to spend or are on a budget, as it is very cheap but performs great. If you are lucky you can also sometimes get a bargain on Radox in the pound shop or Wilkinsons.
Matt’s love for his Muscle Therapy Herbal Bath which contains black pepper and ginseng means that he has already used most of the 500ml bottle!
I am presuming I am going to have to replace this when it runs out as it’s apparently his ‘new favourite’. In short he thinks this is good for builders, and anyone else with aches and pains too and he feels really relaxed when he uses this and he likes the smell.
The bubbles are apparently better than other brands (I don’t use bubble bath … aren’t bubbles just bubbles)? He also likes that this makes your bath red and it does give quite a dark colour.
I really do rate the Radox range, they are very affordable and it’s nice that they are a well known brand who don’t overcharge like so many others whose prices keep creeping up. And if you want to treat your fella to a bath product then the one above has the man seal of approval!
