Yes to Carrots is quite a well known brand and they have just come out with a new ‘sister collection’ called Yes to Tomatoes in the UK. I think this has been available stateside for some time.
The range is fab for combination to oily skins and the products are over 99% natural and contain lycopene which is an antioxidant found in tomatoes.
Lycopene is an antioxidant which helps fight free radical damage (so is a good anti ageing product).
I was sent the facial wash to test out and even though this range is for combo/oily skin I was interested in trying the facewash, as was Matt (it’s one of the only beauty products that we share and he does have oily skin) and I was pretty confident that a natural product wouldn’t be too harsh even if it was from combination skin and I do have a bit of an oily t-zone when I wake up.
The RRP is £8.99 for 100ml
This facial wash is such a pleasure to use and it has impressed us much more than the Clinique liquid soap we were using prior to receiving this. It does worry me slightly that I am turning Matt into a big girl. It leaves your face feeling as if all oil has been removed and your skin is refreshed and glowing, but you don’t feel stripped of all of the moisture in your skin and they do say that the wash maintains your skin’s PH balance.
It doesn’t sting if you get it in your eye and it smells really yummy – not like tomatoes at all but rather like watermelon (not that fake jolly rancher smell) and maybe a bit sweet like a vanilla scent, in fact is doesn’t smell anything like you would expect (I was expecting ketchup smell)!
The thin clear but pink toned get doesn’t lather a massive amount as the lather usually tends to com from sodium laurel sulphate in products like this and of course that is absent from this range. Just massage a small amount into your face and rinse off, job done!
As well as extracts from tomatoes it also contains dead sea minerals, organic watermelon and is petroleum, SLS and paraben free.
The packaging is plain but it does have a little flash of red for some added interest which is cute.
Overall I really like this wash as did Matt and both of us use it once a day in the mornings. I think this would be a great facewash for teenagers as well as adults with combination skin as it’s easy to use and has a nice scent while still packing the natural goodness in to the product.
You can also get products by

So I will definitely be trying something from the cucumber and carrot ranges to see if they are as good.
