For my final post on the Revlon Suede Rhapsody Collection I want to tell you about the eyeshadow palette. The palette is a selection of colours I wouldn’t normally pick but upon swatching do seem quite wearable whilst adding a pop of colour.
EYESHADOW QUAD (£7.99)
The name of this palette is Silver Fox and this cute palette includes grey, white and a minty green shade. I really like the color combination of this quad and think it’s very interesting.
That being said I really don’t find that the colours work that well with my skintone, I can be quite sallow and the cool tones don’t bring out my features to their best advantage. I would say if you are cool toned this will look awesome but neutral tones or yellow tones I would personally think twice before buying this just due to the undertones of all of the colours.
I have to be honest – I wasn’t particularly impressed that the shadows seemed quite dusty and chalky on application. I had no fake tan on my hand when I pictured the swatches above so you would naturally assume the green would ‘pop’ but it just didn’t hold it’s true colour. This could be improved by using fix plus or another spray to wet the shadows before application.
Overall while I really liked everything else in the collection this is the one thing I wasn’t impressed by and wouldn’t personally purchase.
Have you tried Revlon eyeshadows? What did you think?
