Having a lot of people comment on how they like my teeth or think I have good teeth, you can imagine the time I now have to spend on brushing and flossing just to keep up appearances! Secretly though I actually really enjoy brushing my teeth which I know is probably a little strange. I brush for at least 2 minutes twice a day after using my waterpik water flosser to keep on top of plaque but the main reason is because I love the compliments, shallow much?
The problem is that sometimes my old toothbrush, with its round head, just didn’t clean the back of my molars properly as it was too big to fit in the gap so when the lovely people of Colgate sent me their gorgeous new Colgate Proclinical Electric Toothbrush to review I was very excited. The brush has smart sensor technology that promises to automatically adjust to the speed and direction of the brush strokes you are using, and it didn’t disappoint. There are three different programme settings – 1 for regular brushing, 1 optimum programme for everyday and a deep cleaning programme to make sure your molars are super clean. The programme lasts 2 minutes which is how long you should be brushing each time and has 30 seconds pacers so you brush each part of your mouth for the correct amount of time. It has a great battery life too which means less charging and less electricity used. I have to say that the design of the brush is really ergonomic and fits in my hand a lot better than the old brush I used, this is more like an old school toothbrush and much lighter.
One of my favourite features is the ability to choose programmes as I had to have a tooth out recently and I was able to use a more gentle programme to make sure that my teeth were clean but that I didn’t cause any bleeding around the healing gum and now it has healed I can use the more in depth optimum cleaning programmes to make sure that there is no plaque forming.
Funnily enough I read a survey on-line (daily mail but still, technically relevant) that men notice not your hair or your body first on a date, but your teeth! With that in mind if you’re looking for a man then you could do worse than picking up one of these and getting those toothy pegs gleaming to blind him into asking you out!
So far this is the best electric toothbrush I have used and is perfect for anyone at any age, it’s easy to use straight from the box and your teeth will really thank you for it in looks and health benefits as healthy teeth are really important.
