Sure Maximum Protection is a relatively new product to me and I am definitely now a fan. I’ll be honest I am not too sure who would need a 48 hour deodorant unless they were perhaps at a festival or a fishing trip but I take it to mean that it is super strength rather than using it as an excuse not to wash daily!
The deo uses a Ttrisolid formula which is made up of:
- Extra strength dryness protection
- Fragrance technology containing microcapsules which dissolve on contact of sweat
- Skin conditioners to protect you from irritation
The deodorant is quite different in application to a lot of other products as it feels like a cream/gel almost like putting a moisturiser on under your arms. Once you get used to the feeling it’s fine and it is definitely more moisturising than a spray, so you won’t get those dry patches you do with aerosol deodorant.
Despite it going on and feeling creamy it certainly dries fast and gives great protection, I use this every morning prior to travelling on the overground and then the underground (both notoriously stinky places) and again when I start the gym just in case. I don’t tend to sweat too much but I would rather just keep it at bay as it makes you feel gross if you do start. I do normally use a Sure deodorant as I think it is quite important to use a brand that actually focuses on the technology of their products, for example some skincare brands do everything from moisturiser to deo, it does make me wonder if they put as much effort into each individual product.
Overall the £5 or so it costs for this product is well worth it and it is very long lasting, it will keep you dry and sweet smelling and the tube isn’t heavy so it can be slung into whatever handbag or gym bag you are using. If I applied it before travelling to work I would still smell fresh by the time I got home, and that is definitely the sign of a great product after 12 hours or more away from home!
