Monthly boxes are a big thing at the moment and while I am still on the fence about some of them, I can never get enough nail stuff so Nailbox seems like a cool addition to the beauty box arena as it only includes nail products. They’ve only been out for a few months and this is a review of their May 2015 box. The June one will be available from the 21st June.
Each Nailbox contains five items including three or four nail polishes and one or two nail tools or treatments and costs £15.00. They say they will never send out the same polish twice, so there will
always be new colours for you to try every single month. Depending on the subscription you choose, it will renew on the first of the month, on a monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or annual basis.
As you can see from the pictures the box contains:
- Elegant Touch Cuticle Pusher & Nail Cleaner (around
- ORLY Fiery Orange Color Blast nail polish (£9.50)
- Rimmel Lucky Lilac nail polish (around £2.99)
- Nicole by OPI Modern Family Alex by the Books nail polish (around £7.99)
- Essie Status Symbol nail polish (£7.99)
The total value of the box is around £35 and you get it for £15, so that seems pretty good to me, I like all of the polishes apart from the Orly Fierce Orange which is just a personal opinion because I can’t really get away with glittery neon orange in the office environment I spend most of my life in!
I think the addition of nail tools as well as polishes is really handy as they are quite pricey to buy separately although it would have been
good to include a mini cuticle remover product as well, so you could use them together.
I also found the packaging quite uninspiring, they were loose in a cardboard box, and it would be nice to have them in a pretty bag or something similar. They were, however, well packaged with no breakages or damage to the polishes, which is the main thing.
Overall it’s a good, basic monthly box of nail products, but only really good if you are not picky about what colours you wear and like trying new things.
