Iluminage Beauty Touch Permanent Hair Reduction System Review

Iluminage Beauty Touch

Iluminage Beauty Touch

Before I get into this review I want to state that I was sceptical at first and during the first month of using it as my hair is very fine and blond and it took a while to see any difference but it does really actually work but it takes consistent use!

I am not into body hair.  To clarify I do mean on myself personally, I don’t particularly care what others choose to do, I don’t judge.  I have been on so many waxing training courses and I blame them.  They brainwash you to see all hair as the kryptonite to your smooth superman esque skin. A bizarre analogy…let’s move on.

How does it work?

Iluminage Touch Permanent Hair Reduction system uses something called the ‘patented elos technology’.  It is clinically proven to be safe and effective on all skin colours, on the face and body.

It is very expensive to patent something and enforce the patent if someone tries to copy it so it does indicate that the product is more likely to be one that works than one that doesn’t.  Because they wouldn’t shell out so much money on that for nothing.

ELOS is the new development from the scientists who invented IPL, like the new version of the technology.  This product is the first and only in-home technology to combine Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Radio Frequency (RF) energies to deliver clinically proven, permanent hair reduction. The combination of these complementary energies delivers unprecedented safety, speed and effectiveness for smooth, hair-free skin.  Again, the mention of ‘clinically proven’ which would indicate a clinical study, would suggest that they do have evidence that this has been tested on real people and had good results.

The product says there will be up to 94% hair reduction in just 6 weeks (personally I found it took 8 but hey ho).

Permanent results on the face and body (I have found that none of the hair has grown back so far so I do agree) and is safe and effective for all skin and colours (I can’t really comment since I only have one colour hair and skin…which is for the best really as that would surely look like I was taking ombre to a whole new level).

How do you use it?

I have used this consistently once a week for 8 weeks.  You need to shave the area you are treating before using. There are instructions which are very easy to follow which are included (do please read them though).

Basically you set up the machine to the correct setting as per the manual.  Pop on the protective eye goggles as the machine flashes brightly when it is working.  Pick your area to treat and get ready.  Turn the machine on and press the actual head part of it against your skin where you want to remove the hair and move the machine up and down until you have covered the area.  And that’s it!

Overall is it worth the money?

I am impressed with the speed and ease you can cover each area.  The fact that it’s painless and finally, something that’s good for the legs!  Amazing for me as I am tall and have long legs and normal in-office IPL or Laser takes flipping forever.

This is the best home hair removal product that I have tried up until now.  I think they genuinely have a great product.
