Favourite Korres Products

In 1996, KORRES was born. The brand’s simple philosophy was rooted in the use of natural ingredients of the highest quality; skin- and environmentally- friendly products with clinically tested efficacy; products that are affordable for everyday use yet of interesting aesthetics that can ‘inspire & make us happy.’

They use natural and certified organic ingredients but unlike a lot of other ‘natural’ or ‘organic’ ranges … well they are actually nice! So many of the other brands with a similar ethos are packed with essential oils which I either hate the smell of or they irritate my skin, the packaging often looks boring or so plain it doesn’t catch my interest and the products just don’t really seem to do anything.  The brand is also really reasonably priced in my opinion considering the quality.

Korres is a Greek skincare brand with roots in Athens’ first ever homeopathic pharmacy.  Based on its pharmacy experience in over 3,000 homoeopath remedies of herbal origin, Korres is focussing on primary and applied research regarding natural ingredients.

Wild Rose Range

The three stand out items from the wild rose range for me are the Wild Rose CC Cream, Wild Rose Sleeping Mask and the Wild Rose Peeling Mask AHA 10%.

The Peeling Mask exfoliates your skin with AHA (alpha hydroxy acids) and at 10% strength it’s quite strong so doesn’t need to be used too often.  It’s easy to apply, smells nice and leaves your skin soft, smooth and glowing. I only leave it on for 4 minutes as I have sensitive skin. I always use this first and then the Sleeping Mask after so that my skin is prepped for the maximum hydration that it can get from the mask.  The combination of using both together is definitely one of my beauty secrets.

The Wild Rose CC Cream

I’ve been using this for a couple of months in the medium shade. This is the best CC cream I have used as it blends really easily and it is the perfect level of moisturising without being greasy. It is a great colour match and the coverage is slightly more than other CC creams I have used.  It has SPF30 which is great for me as my skin is very sensitive to the sun.  I also love that it’s in a plastic tube as it’s so light it’s perfect to use when travelling.

Shower Gels

These are my favourite products that Korres make. Soft moisturising showergel, ideal for everyday use. Using wheat proteins form a protective film on the skin to maintain its regular hydration level.

They come in so many different scents and provide a rich creamy foam all for approximately £8.  My favourite scents are Bergamot Pear, Guava, Water Lily and Fig.

Body Milk and Body Butter

The perfect body butters and body lotions for me.   Smoothing and moisturizing cream for all over the body. Rich in Shea Butter and Avocado oil with softening, nourishing and moisturising properties  The product sinks in quickly and doesn’t leave white streaks on your skin.  My favourite scent is Guava.

Body Milk

I was ecstatic to find my ideal everyday body moisturiser that can also be used on holiday as an aftersun.  The consistency is thin and light and sinks into the skin instantly. So you can get dressed or put your pj’s on within a minute or two without any sticky residue. Despite the thin consistency you get a lot of hydration from using this and my shins have stopped getting so dry since I started using this every night before bed.  The scents are all gorgeous by my current favourite is Santorini Vine, when that runs out I have a new scent to try called Water Lily.

Hair Sun Protection

This is the best hair product for holidays I have ever found. I douse my hair and scalp with this on holiday and have never come back home with dry hair.

It contains waterproof sunscreen to protect the hair and scalp.  And moisturising agents to keep your hair soft and silky.  You spray onto hair and I reapply two or three times a day in the sun.

You can buy lots of different types of Korres gift sets which is what I normally do as you often save money.

There are  sets with mini products to use when travelling.  I would urge you to try something from this brand,  you might just find your new favourite like I did so many years ago.
