La Bodega Negra – Restuarant Review
I’d heard a lot of talk about La Bodega Negra and finally took the matter into my own hands this week and I booked it for girl’s night dinner.
Wait a minute??
The Uber dropped us off at sex-shop shop front in Soho!! So in we went, definitely hoping we hadn’t got the address wrong! The door opened to reveal a sex shop themed coat check and reception area where they check if you’re there for the bar or for a restaurant reservation (definitely make a reservation otherwise it will be likely full). Remember to specify your booking is for the restaurant and not the cafe.
The decor of the restaurant and bar is dark and seductive with lots of twinkling fairy lights and cardboard artwork.

Mexican street food is whats on offer We went for the beef and soft-shell crab tacos, pork belly and green rice and some chips and guacamole. The below picture was the only one we managed to get. It was so dark and did involve phone torch related lighting (blogger problems).
The music is great and the food and cocktails even better. The atmosphere is dark, mysteriously and a bit naughty and it does feel like a cool place to be.
This is definitely a place I recommend you visit whether you live in London or are here on holiday.
