Colour Pop With Cheap International Postage Fee

Alright, so I know Colour Pop are pretty famous already. But they started off not shipping to the UK, now they do and the shipping price is ridiculous. Seriously colour pop, you’re shipping makeup, not gold bars.

The Three Eyeshadows I Ordered

Cricket: GE02 – A super shock shadow. Metallic smoky mid toned plum. Has both gold and silver glitter. Slightly sheerer than the other two shadows. Easily blendable, minimal glitter fallout. Lasted all day.

Stereo: GE03 – A super shock shadow. Blackened burgundy with copper and pink violet duo chrome glitter sprinkled on top in a Metallic finish. This is beautiful with browns. Lasts all day and great pigmentation.

Weenie: GE04 – A super shock shadow. A pinky rose gold with a pearlised finish. It used the immortal words of Rose Gold to describe it, so it had to be mine. Absolutely beaut.  The colour works with so many other shades and is my favourite out of the three.

10-2

Everything that I have tried from them so far is just amazing. The formulation is different to anything I have tried, they are so soft and buttery and the pigmentation is so dense.  These are fabulous for effortless glam, so if you like a shimmery and metallic finish, try some of the Super Shock Shadows.

Where Did You Get Them?

I did a little research and found a website where they offered UK shipping called House Of Beauty.    So I decided to try it out for myself and make a small order so I could tell you whether it worked, how much it cost, and if the products were real and arrived fine.

Thoughts On House Of Beauty

I would recommend using this website but there are some things you need to know.  The postage is bizarrely priced, in that you can choose regular shipping for £3.90 but then 7-day shipping is £3.20? I picked the cheaper one, obviously! It arrived in 16 days, which wasn’t too bad, they send it tracked so if it hasn’t arrived for a while you can get them to check the tracking.  Also, despite the UK website address, the items came from Poland. I didn’t get charged any customs charges.

I think the items look real compared to all pictures of the packaging, the colours and the descriptions online of the texture and quality of the shadows. So I believe that they do sell totally authentic items. I also ordered a highlighter as I plan to do a giveaway soon as I am nearly at 10k subscribers on Bloglovin which is so exciting!

House of Beauty also sell brands that are harder to get in the UK like Jeffree Star, Gerard and Milani, along with brands I hadn’t heard of like Hot Makeup.

So these were my picks from colour pop and my tip on how to get them cheaper.  I hope this helps you save money! What’s your favourite thing from colour pop?
