Pixi Beauty August Release – Multi-balm 2-In-1
Pixi seem to have a new release every month at the moment! This month the brand new item out is a Multi-balm 2-in-1. Perfect for your handbag, gym bag or travelling these fab multi-tasking beauty products are great for on the go.
Cost
The Pixi 2-in-1 MultiBalm RRP £12.00, come in 5 different shades. It can be worn alone or blended together to create your own custom shade. They can be used on lips or cheeks and one is for contouring or bronzing.

Formulation
The formula is cream-to-powder and to use simply glide onto the lips or dab onto the cheeks for the pinky red toned Multibalms. For the shade Sheer Sculpt, used for contouring, you can either swipe a line where you want to contour and blend out, or put the product onto an Artis brush (or similar) and use that.
The Pixi 2-in-1 MultiBalm has a silky smooth consistency and is very easy to apply and blend. The colour lasts all day, however I do set my blush, whether cream or powder, with a loose powder and use a setting spray.
The formula contains aloe vera, shea butter and rosehip oil, and it’s a good quality product which contains nice, nourishing ingredients.
Likes and Dislikes
I like that the lid is the shade of the product. It makes it easy to grab in a rush. To push the product up when it’s running out, simply twist the bottom of the tube to wind more up. Much like a lip or eyeliner. The only thing I worry about with these types of mechanism is how to get the product out if the twist part breaks?

Shades Available
The five shades available are Watermelon Veil, Baby Petal, Soft Strawberry, Wild Rose and Sheer Sculpt. My favourites are soft strawberry and sheer sculpt. Soft Strawberry is a great blush to use with a red lip. I often find it hard to match a red lip to a corresponding blush as most I own are peach or coral toned.
I’ve been finding the Sheer Sculpt makes contouring really quick and easy, and saves me getting a brush out if I am on holiday or don’t have time. You can blend it out with the same beauty blender you used for your foundation and concealer. I think Baby Petal and Wild Rose would probably work better for Autumn and Winter, or if you have a darker skin tone to me.
Roundup
Overall these are a bargain at £12! If you wanted to only pick up one I would suggest Sheer Sculpt. Use it to bronze, contour and as an eyeshadow or brow colour. You can go as light or dark as you wish to, depending on your skin tone.
