Sure Left v. Right Challenge

I’m sure you’ve noticed Sure deodorant appears to come in many different sizes from the tiny to the big cans these days! What you may not be aware of is the smaller cans are Sure Compressed, a smaller can that fits in the same amount of product but uses less gas, causing the spray to feel softer but in all other aspects, it works exactly the same as the big cans.

But does that work? Do the Compressed Cans Last as Long? Is It Any Good?

For the last 6 weeks I have been trialling the Sure Compressed can (125ml) against the big can (250ml) to see if it really does last as long and to see whether Sure Compressed can ‘fit it all in’.

I applied the compressed can to my left underarm and the regular one to my right.  I used the same amount, in the same way, on each armpit, every day.  And yes, when I was hung-over this was somewhat of a challenge.  The things I do for the blog!

After 6 weeks of hard-core deodorant-ing I can confirm that Sure Compressed absolutely does work just as well, and in fact I much prefer it.

So What Are The Benefits?

  • When comparing Sure Compressed to the larger can, Sure Compressed felt much softer and gentler on my skin but despite feeling different, it protected me the same as the armpit that was sprayed with the big can
  • Sure Compressed is perfect for everyday use and for fitting it all in, I have applied it after my shower each morning.  It was then easy to pop in my handbag or gym bag to use later in the day if necessary, as the can is so small
  • The small size of the compressed deodorant can is much more convenient for travelling
  • The packaging needed for the compressed can is much less, leading to less wastage so better for the environment
  • I’m no science expert, but for some reason, the compressed can didn’t feel as cold when I applied the deodorant, which I much prefer
  • The Sure compressed can takes up much less space in my bathroom and fits on one of the display shelves where the larger can is too big and has to be put in a drawer.

TOP 5 TIPS

With Two Jobs and a Busy Social Life

I Wanted to Share Some of my Tips for ‘Fitting It All In’

  • Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to do everything yourself!   Delegate tasks if they become time-consuming and cumbersome, meaning they cost you more (money and time wise) than paying someone else to do them.  For example migrating your blog might take you hours but a professional 1 hour.  Hiring a cleaner for 2 hours a week rather than spending the weekend cleaning yourself.  Hiring an accountant rather than fighting with your tax return form yourself.  Delegating doesn’t make you lazy, it makes you more efficient with your time.
  • Order your shopping in advance, online and have it delivered to you.  The hours you will save wandering around supermarkets and finding a parking space free you up to do so many more things. I use Ocado as they don’t provide the weird and wacky ‘substitutions’ that a lot of other supermarkets do if an item your order is out of stock. You can also compare items by price rather than in-store where you tend to just pick your favourite items regardless of price.
  • Open 2 current accounts with different banks to keep on top of your expenses and to stop you wasting time worrying about money.  Add up all of your bills; add a buffer of £20-100 and standing order that amount into your secondary current account on payday.  Arrange all of your standing orders and direct debits to come out of that secondary account the day after you pay into it (just in case).  Then all of your bills for the month are dealt with you and barely ever have to think about them.  Set up a text service if your bank offers it as mine does.  They send you a text once a week with your balance, and a few most recent payments, so you don’t have to keep logging in online to find out what’s going on.
  • Invest in a slow cooker! This nan-style kitchen appliance allows you to make a delish healthy dinner without fuss. Simply throw in the ingredients in the morning and dinner will be ready by the time you get home.  You can make everything from soup to chilli con carne and you don’t have to waste time cooking when you get home. Just microwave some rice or veggies and you’re good to go.
  • Learn to say no! Realise that you don’t have to be a superwoman and volunteer to help with everyone’s baby shower or hen do, attend every PTA committee meeting or every event for everyone. Decide what is really important to you or your family and make these things your priority. And try not to feel guilty about saying no!

I’ve been really impressed with Sure compressed and will be using this going forward, rather than buying bigger cans. Why don’t you take Sure Compressed Left V Right challenge and see for yourself that Compressed really does last as long as the big can? Giving you one less thing to worry about when it comes to fitting it all in.
