January Detox – Deliciously Stella takes over GLOSSYBOX

January Detox – Deliciously Stella takes over GLOSSYBOX

Another year begins! And a new month means a new Glossybox.  This month it is in collaboration with Instagram sensation Deliciously Stella.  Yes, you heard me right. Stella, not Ella! Stella is a comedian whose Instagram basically takes the mickey out of all of those healthy eating, new year new you accounts who are obsessed with avocados, kale, and yoga.  The box is available to order from today, 9th January.

Glossybox has collaborated with Deliciously Stella to shake up the obligatory January detox a bit with her “Edible Edit” of products to get the health-kick you need from your beauty so that you don’t have to sacrifice life’s little luxuries.  Even if you don’t like to buy subscription boxes you should check her out, she is very funny.  While I am an advocate of healthy eating and exercise (and avocados), I find her posts so funny.  And I’m with her on the kale, I’ve tried, but it tastes so horrible! She pokes some harmless fun at some of the ridiculous things those Instagram models do, with some great captions.

Inside The Box

Nip and Fab Kale Fix Moisturiser

This moisturiser is a superfood powerhouse of kale, watercress and almond oil to enrich dry skin. It protects against the elements, which is needed now it’s freezing here in the UK and helps to soothe skin.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony Single Eyeshadow

This mini eyeshadow is perfect for travelling as it’s small and lightweight but has good pigmentation. I am not sure if all of the colours are the same, but mine is a dark aubergine colour which suits most skin tones and eye colours.

Unani Illuminate Milk Cleanser

I’d never used this brand before, but after testing it out I found that it’s very  gentle and soothing, not at all drying as the oils help hydrate as it cleanses. While it doesn’t completely remove stubborn eye makeup, it’s great for those that wear minimal makeup, in the mornings or as a second cleanse. My skin gets on really well with it, so it should be great for others with sensitive skin.

Vitamasques Manuka Honey Face Mask

This sheet mask has been developed with triple layer sheet technology for maximum effect and absorption.  The mask uses extracts of Manuka Honey to moisturise and soften skin, leaving it smooth, rejuvenated and restored with enhanced radiance.  I haven’t yet tried the mask, but it certainly sounds like something to help my dry skin.

True Organics of Sweden – All You Need Is Me

A multi purpose organic balm from a brand that is again, totally new to me.  I think this is my favourite product in the box.  Perhaps in Sweden they use this instead of Vaseline or Eight Hour Cream as it can be used for all of the same things and has a similar consistency. This multipurpose balm, however, doesn’t contain water, petroleum or it’s by products.  I also like that it has a nice scent, as Vaseline and Eight Hour Cream really do not smell the nicest.  Great for chapped skin, cuticles, even split ends and frizzy bits. Another item that would be perfect for everyday use in your handbag or for travel.

This is one of my favourite GlossyBox’s so far, and I liked all of the contents.  If you’re interested in getting one for yourself the £10 cost of the box is the same as the RRP for the True Organics of Sweden – All You Need Is Me product, so basically it’s like buying that and getting everything else free!

The GLOSSYBOX ‘Edible Edit’ With Deliciously Stella launches on the 9th January and available for £10 (+P&P) from www.glossybox.co.uk
