This is the best volumising range of hair products I have found since Loreal Tec volume spray mousse. I have both the totally baked mousse and the sugar shock spray and they are both absolutely amazing. There is a knack to using volumising products so you don’t look like Jedward or (if you apply too much) you have rock hard flat hair. Applied properly these both are amazing.
TIGI Candy Fixations Totally Baked Volumizing and Prepping Hair Meringue is applied to wet hair before blow drying to boost volume, hold your hairstyle in place and resist everything, including partying hard. It is very lightweight and smells like lemon meringue too! It can be used by all hair styles and types and moisturises whilst volumising.
On wet hair I squirt two pumps worth directly onto my head as I hate putting mousse on my hands. I use one pump at the front of my head and one at the back, on the root area, then I comb through with a wide tooth comb and tip my hair upside down. Then blowdry! Halfway through I tip my hair back and then blow dry it straight down a bit otherwise you will have too much volume and look like your finger was stuck in a socket.
Don’t overload your hair with this or it will go sticky and gross like candy floss. Set hair with a light spritz of hairspray and you are good to go. If you want to backcomb the crown area thi swill really help it stay.

TIGI Candy Fixations Sugar Shock Hair Bodifying Spray smells like candy floss and is sickeningly sweet, but I love marshmallows so I couldn’t love this any more. If you hate sweet scents then this isn’t for you. They suggest you spray this into dry hair to condition and moisturise and control static but I like to spray into the roots of wet hair before blowdrying then spritz a little over once it’s dry for a sort of beachy messy look that still has lots of volume.
As with the mousse you must be very sparing with this as well, it does contain sucrose (sugar) so your hair could look a bit gunky if you overdid it. Remember with all volumising products- LESS IS MORE!
