Tom Ford Black Orchid
This perfume is hands down my favourite. it is sensual and exotic, heady and intoxicating. It’s basically everything I want in a perfume! One sniff and I was hooked, well I say one sniff, I was let loose near a tester of this and managed to spray so much of it on that I even started to quite fancy myself! Apologies to those who witnessed this..hehe!
I can spray it on before I leave the house in the morning and smell my wrist at 5pm and still get a waft of the fragrance. It certainly is strong but that is one of the reasons that I adore it. It smells gorgeous layered with a sweet or fruity scent or just alone.
The perfume has top notes of black truffle, ylang, fresh bergamot and blackcurrant, middle notes of florals and rich fruts, heart note of lotus wook and bottom notes are patchouli, incense and vetiver. Vanilla, warm balsam and sandalwood are also detectable in the fragrance.
This is a luxurious, elegant and seriously sexy perfume with a gorgeous black bottle to match.
To celebrate Tom Ford’s Black Orchid frangrance Tom Ford are introducing a collection of three limited edition products to the Black Orchid range. The new Black Orchid Pressed Perfume is housed in a slim black fluted compact with golden lining. The addition of mica gives the formula a smooth, velvety texture. Like the Tom Ford Black Orchid fragrance, it mixes dark florals with black orchids and rich woods.
The Lip Color is repackaged in a signature black case with subtle fluting and gold lining and accompanying the Lip Color is an ultra shiny, long-wearing Nail Colour in a shade inspired by the Black Orchid flower (that inspired the scent) which is similar to Chanel’s rouge noir, although slightly more brown toned.
The Tom Ford Black Orchid Limited Edition Collection will be exclusively available in Harvey Nichols stores from 4 October 2010 and all Private Blend counters and Space NK stores nationwide from 1 December 2010 priced at £90.00, if you think of the individual prices £90 actually doesn’t work out badly and to stop confusion the perfume is not £90 that’s the price of the limited edition set!
