It was my first time at an Illamasqua bloggers event this afternoon. It was held in their new flagship store in Beak Street which is at the end of Carnaby
Street, opposite the Gallagher’s new clothing shop.
The shop is absolutely stunning and I felt really privileged to just be there, meeting Alex Box and viewing the shop and the area where the courses will be held.
The shop itself is definitely the nicest makeup shop I have been in, from the fantastically sparkly glitter floor, smashed mirror counter and the sleek branding to the professional displays and the fact there is plenty of space to browse, Mac could learn a lot, some of us don’t want to be crammed in while we shop!

The Art of Darkness
collection is GORGEOUS with a capital G. All of the colours are jewel toned and deeply pigmented and rich, I absolutely love the pigments and the nail varnishes especially. The focus is on golds, reds, jewel toned greens and blues and a lot of glitter and shimmer. This has to be my favourite collection for pigments Ore is absolutely gorgeous and Alluvium is a must buy for me for a blue toned smoky eye.
I already have a list prepared of what I want to buy – is that sad?!
We were given a booklet filled with gorgeous pictures of makeup looks that Alex Box created using this collection and my favourite looks are the Gypsy Queen and the Faerie, the gypsy queen look is very ruby red and vibrant and overtly sexy and the Faerie is very ethereal and girly and sweet and innocent.
GYPSY QUEEN
No one can resist the Queen of the Gypsyies. This alluring
temptress, famed for her seductive veiled dancing, knows how to use her
art to get what she wants…Jewels, exotic perfumes, the head of a
scorned love on a silver platter – there’s danger to this incredible
beauty.
