I must admit to being a rather useless beauty blogger this last month. My face broke out over and over again as it had clearly had enough of all of the new products I was using and wanted it’s easy life of Korres, Bioderma T20 and a bit of Liz Earle, Melvita and Origins thrown in now and again. It had a face tantrum and I was far too ashamed to post any proper FOTD or makeup/skin pics.
Then my lovely new haircut turned into the nightmare on hair street, and what appeared lovely and voluminous in the salon turned into a fuzzball of wispy layered fluff in the frizz-inducing weather we have been having so I was not happy about having any pictures taken of that, especially as, even after spending half an hour using my fabulous Remington volumiser I would get to work an hour later and the wind and rain made me look like I had spent half an hour drunkenly rolling in a ditch instead.
And just to add a final nail in the coffin I have now had an allergic reaction, presumably to some food I have eaten, and have really sore eczema covered lips and my eyes are all itchy (although thankfully that swelling has gone down).
I was very kindly send the Sleek Makeup collection for valentines day and I didn’t get to use due to the allergies but you can still purchase them from here sleekmakeup
The pout polish is really similar to Mac’s tinted lip conditioners at around half the price and the blush is ridiculously pigmented, I have to say if I put that on now with the rest of my red face I would look completely bonkers but on dark skintones I bet this would look stunning. Apologies for missing the whole valentine’s theme – did you get anything for Valentines? I didn’t lol!
In other news poor Benny the cat is being bullied and is pulling out his own hair because he is so stressed (I know the feeling). I have ordered him a Feliway stress thing for cats, it looks rather bizarre- like some sort of hippy cat drug inducing glade plug-in air freshener, but if it works then thank goodness for that as I want him to cheer up, it makes me want to cry when he miaows so sad and comes in all beaten up.
In other news I was awarded a biscuit award from Azaria Pr called Bloggy Brilliant. I’m not sure what the requirements were lol but the biscuit was nice!
