Jurlique Purely Age Defying Range Review
Recently I tested out another new skincare range for a month. This time it was the Jurlique Purely Age-
Defying range which consisted of me testing out the following:
- Jurlique Purely Age-Defying Facial Serum
- Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum
- Jurlique Purely Age Defying Mist
- Jurlique Nutri-Define
Multi-Correcting Day Cream
Jurlique Purely Age-Defying Facial Serum
Let’s start with the serum, I really liked the consistency and the scent but it was supposed to be age defying as the claims are that it firms and brightens, even skin tone and protects against free radical damage. Also that it reduces lines and wrinkles. It didn’t do any of those things. I presume due to the very small quantities of active ingredients. One to avoid if you are looking for something anti-ageing although if you are looking for something that is for dry skin I think it would work well for that.
Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum
This is marketed as a high-performance eye treatment with an innovative botanical complex to help keep the eye area feeling fresh, radiant, and youthful-looking all day long. Unfortunately I was allergic to this which I think was due to some of the fragrant flower extracts that it includes, I am not sure why those are included in a product that is to be used around the eye to be honest as despite being natural ingredients they are potentially
irritating.
Jurlique Nutri-Define Multi-Correcting Day Cream
The nutri define day cream is a super hydrating, advanced anti aging formula with Biosome5, a breakthrough liposomal technology, and rich essential fatty acids to help build a protective barrier to create a lasting, youthful radiance. With daily usage, Nutri-Define Multi-Correcting Day Cream is supposed to improve visible signs of wrinkles and dehydration, as well as enhances the appearance of skin density, texture, and radiance. Unfortunately, again, due to the high level of fragrance coming from natural oils I was also allergic to this product and had a bit of a rash appear until I stopped using it.
Jurlique Purely Age Defying Mist
Being completely honest this is the only item in the range I tried that I really liked. Mostly because the other products give you high expectations of the results you can achieve if you use them while this really is just a face mist, and it does what you expect.
Range Overall
Ingredients such as lavender oil or geranium oil have a fragrance. So I think it bizarre that Jurlique claim that the products are fragrance free, when they clearly contain fragranced oils.
Some people love these products and the brand in general. But for those with sensitive skin, especially those of us that are looking for products that really do give results. I think this is a brand to give a miss.
