New Beauty Discoveries Haul & Review
I recently received some products from different places that I want to share with you. I got a Wendy Rowe Glossy Box with some fab contents and won my first ever blog giveaway over at Beautylymin so my ‘new products’ shelf at home was packed full of new things from a load of brands, some of which I’ve never tried before. So today I’m sharing my thoughts on my faves!
This is Burberry’s multi-use skin luminiser, the key to getting their brand’s signature glow. I have shade Nude Radiance. It contains over 55% water to hydrate and leave the skin feeling dewy as well as looking glowing. You could use this as a primer, mixed with your base or patted over the skin as a subtle highlight. It’s basically incredible for when you are hungover, it’s a Monday or you just feel rubbish and need your skin to pep up instantly. The reflective pearls help to blur and perfect minor imperfections for a shimmer-free, natural-looking luminosity.
Despite using makeup since I was 12 and having dabbled in contouring a little I would class myself as a relative beginner. I wanted to step up my game and have lusted after this product for ages but it wasn’t available here for a long time. Then I won this fab palette in Siobhan’s giveaway! I was so excited. It’s such a large palette so it feels like you get value for money. The shades themselves are beautiful with lots of grey tones which is perfect for me because even with fake tan I am quite pale. The shades are easy to blend and buildable. They also make good matte eyeshadows. My favourite is the middle yellow toned powder to use under the eye to set my concealer, it works perfectly and doesn’t crease. Love this so much. Love love LOVE.
The 90’s is back in fashion and they’ve even brought back a version of the crimper, although updated for 2016. This is one of the Toni & Guy style fix stylers which are handbag sized professional styling tools, for your style fix wherever and whenever. Depending on how you use this you can get subtle beachy waves or just use on the underneath of your hair to create volume.
It’s absolutely tiny and perfect to travel with but still packs a punch and protects your hair colour and shine due to the ceramic tourmaline plates. So no frazzled ends! I am really loving this to give the top of my hair a bit of volume, as sometimes it can look a bit flat. This would also be amazing to pop in your bag so you can do a bit of a zhuch to your hair pre-Christmas party.
Now I had no idea that Ferne McCan even had a fake tan range to be honest. So when this arrived on my desk I was, if being honest, totally sceptical. Especially since everyone on TOWIE is frankly, a creosote shade of shed. Thankfully this tan, as advertised, is very natural, golden and not orange at all. It also smells gorgeous and fruity and not like fake tan at all. This lasted a good 5 days on me and I was honestly so impressed with everything from the packaging to the colour. A great tan.
This concealer is the man. If that song by Aloe Blacc was about concealer it would have been about this stuff. This is the best concealer known to humankind. It is like liquid polyfilla for dark cirles, blemishes and thread veins. It gets rid of everything. I adore this product and you need to try it right now. NOW! Side note, remember to set this with powder otherwise it will crease and come off.
