At Home LED Light Therapy For Anti Ageing
As we age, our body produces less collagen and elastin beneath the skin. These two things the two things that plump out our face to reduce lines and make skin firmer. I’ve seen the led light mask or facial offered at many dermatologists or skin clinics. For example Pro Skin Clinics offer one for £59 a session. But £59 for one facial with the light is expensive and you need multiple treatments to see a difference.
I have found that the LightStim for Wrinkles does the same thing, at home. It uses LED light therapy technology to promote the growth of cells and stimulate the production of both collagen and elastin, filling out your skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. I was, as always, sceptical. But I’ve been using this off and on for over 4 months, and I do think it’s beneficial.
What Differences Did I Notice?
After using every other day for 2 weeks all over my face and neck I started to notice that my skin tone was more even. My skin felt smoother to the touch and looked plumper, especially around my problem area of nose to mouth lines. My foundation applied better in that area and didn’t ‘sink’ into that area during the day. I took this to be because the lines aren’t as deep now.
Does it Reduce Wrinkles?
The lines between my nose to mouth really bothered me, and I am very happy to say they do appear to have improved. My skin is more radiant and while it would still be classed as dry skin, it has calmed down since using this product in terms of the severe dryness. I can’t speak for someone who is older than me with much more severe wrinkles but for someone my age with some lines that are stressing them out, it’s been great.
How Do You Use It?
The machine looks like a shower head so it’s easy to hold. Switch on, press gently to the skin on the area you want to treat then after 3 minutes when it beeps simply move to another area. That’s it! Doing your whole face and neck will take a maximum of 20 minutes. I’d say half an hour if you are also doing your chest. You could use this anywhere on your face or body. You can use it while sitting and reading or watching tv and it doesn’t involve much thought as long as you remember to work over every area.
How Long Does It Take To See Results?
Firstly, you need to be committed to using this for it to show results. I suggest only purchasing if you have time to stick with using it at least four times a week. If you do then you will definitely get results after around 2 months. It will work for everyone, as skin type or colour doesn’t make a difference. I recommend taking monthly update photos so you can see the difference, I wish I had thought to do this! The reason I started noticing the difference was people had stopped commenting on my skin being good or flawless and after a while using this, the compliments started again. Which is always nice.
It’s not an invasive treatment or as claustrophobic as using a mask version, there is no pain, stinging or redness. It’s also FDA approved in America so it has gone through rigorous testing.
Is it Proven to Work?
In clinical trials, 100% of participants reported improved fine lines and wrinkles in only 8 weeks.
What Do You Do After The Treatment
After each treatment I apply a serum and then a moisturiser. I generally use the Lightstim Collagen Peptide Serum that came with my Lightstim machine, however I am sure any good serum would work.
Would You Recommend This?
It is now around 4 months later and am still using my Lightstim machine. My normal routine is a half hour treatment on Saturday and Sunday and then two days in the week when I have time. No new wrinkles have appeared in the months since I started using my Lightstim which is great and I have to say, I really love this product. I am seeing consistent results so it seems worth the money. I am so happy to have discovered this product when I did!
