RED CARPET MANICURE GEL POLISH
KIT REVIEW
I’m probably one of the last bloggers to try the Red Carpet Manicure Gel Polish Kit as I’m sure it’s been out for a few years but here we go, my review.
I only wear gel or gel polish nails or stick-on ones (when I am too busy to do mine). I have also had a lot of expensive but terrible gel polish manicures in a salon. Recently I paid £40 for one in Drybar, a top London salon where I’ve only ever had a pedicure at before. It lasted 7.5 days. I was fuming!
Doing gel polish yourself at home is easy, quick and means if they do chip or peel, you can just touch up the one problematic nail yourself.
The Red Carpet Manicure Professional LED Kit
The Red Carpet Manicure Gel Polish Kit is an at-home gel polish nail kit. Gel polish dries instantly so you can’t smudge or scratch them and they last around 2 weeks.

What Does The Red Carpet Manicure Professional LED Kit Contain
The box contains everything you need to do the gel polish manicure.
Nail cleanser – gets rid of oils and dirt before you start your manicure and removes the tacky layer
Nail prep – dehydrates the nail to ensure the manicure sticks and is long lasting
Base coat – as you’d expect, the base coat you apply first
Colour polishes – from clear to neon, Red carpet manicure has plenty of options, you get a red in the kit, but can purchase all the others separately
Top coat – once you’ve applied your 2-3 colour coats you then apply topcoat
Nail oil – always good to finish off your manicure and moisturise your nails and cuticles so they look as good as possible and are nice and hydrated
LED nail lamp – LED and UV lamps both emit UV rays, so they both cure nails in a similar way, LED is very often quicker and uses newer technology.
Remover – easily soak off your gel nails, don’t peel!
How To Apply
The application is exactly the same as any other gel polish brand, with the addition of swiping each nail with the nail prep before you apply the basecoat. For a how-to on applying a gel polish you can check out my previous post here.
Would I Recommend the Red Carpet Manicure Gel Polish Kit?
I was very impressed as the kit is very easy to use and the LED lamp works so quickly it cuts the time it takes me in half. Compared to my UV lamp. The topcoat is very easy to apply and really shiny which is what I always look for. It is very easy to use and my nails look as good as when you have a professional gel polish. I like that they also have tutorials available on their website if you don’t know what to do www.redcarpetmanicure.co.uk/tutorials
Any Dislikes?
I was interested in trying some nude colours but the two I was sent Oh So Posh and Camera Shy just came out as a clear-ish white (pictured on ring finger in the main picture – they both looked exactly the same). I was hoping they would be more of a solid nude.
Where Can I Buy the Red Carpet Manicure Professional LED Kit?
You can purchase for £89.95 at Red Carpet Manicure Website and individual polishes cost £12.95.
Check their website out for more info: www.redcarpetmanicure.co.uk and you can check out my blog post on how to remove gel polish here.
