Hi hi I Heart Cosmetics readers! 🙂

Quite a while ago (sorry about that!), Sarah was asking on Twitter if anyone would like to try the Elizabeth’s Daughter Cream Facial Cleanser. I jumped at the chance, at the time I was looking into getting something different from my regular MAC Green Gel Cleanser. Much as I loved it, it appeared to be making by skin a bit too matte, thus drying it out.

On first impressions the packaging is very sleek and simple. It’s in an air tight container, which pushes the product up for the bottom. Making sure none is wasted and that you really get your moneys worth. That’s something I definitely appreciate.

I was expecting a gel like cleanser but this is a cream and looks very much like a moisturiser when pumped out. I find one pump is sufficient to cleanse.

It’s got the most amazing smell about it. Probably due to all the oils and extracts but it smells almost florally and quite perfume-y. Love it!

Now it says on the back that you can use this to take makeup off and daily grime. I tried that and eeesh, never again. I have to say, this hasn’t changed my mind against wipes. (Sorry, sorry, I know they’re bad!) At the time I tried this, I was using YSL Singulier Mascara, which isn’t waterproof.  It took forever to get it off and I was left looking like a panda, so the whole removing eye makeup is definitely a no go.

As a daily cleanser though, I really love this. It’s very moisturising and it makes my skin feel hydrated it whilst still leaving it clean and fresh feeling. It’s definitely something I would consider purchasing with my own money!

Elizabeths Daughter Cream Cleanser is available online and at Harvey Nichols for £15.00

So thank you very much to Bicky for being a Super Sunday guest reviewer and letting lil old me have a lie in :p
