Sienna X Spray Tan
Well there appears to have been a fake tan change of plan! My beauty therapist Louise informed me when I arrived that the spray tan solution had not arrived from Fake Bake. Her last client had used up the last of the old bottle of solution. So I was offered the choice of a free Sienna-X spray tan or no tan. NO TAN?? I almost fainted.
Since that was clearly not an option I went for the free tan – not that I had ever heard of Sienna-X in my life so I was slightly dubious!
Application
Exactly the same as a Fake Bake spray tan, guide colour is almost the same colour but instead of the light hobnob/digestive biscuit smell this smells like coconuts mmm holiday-esque.
Shade of guide colour
Well I went to the bakery to get Louise some treats after the tan since I felt bad that she didn’t make any money from my appointment. The man behind the counter gave me a funny look so I think you should probably go straight home after an application of this. Otherwise people will think you are a bit mad. On closer inspection yes I do look extremely dark brown with a small hind of red. But not orange which is a plus. The guide colour is a more 80’s dark tan. But we shall see what happens tomorrow when I wash it off.
Rub off
I have light coloured cushions and throws and in the interest of research I sat on the sofa for a while and watched some MTV, no guide colour rubbed of on the light coloured items. Fake Bake does normally rub off a bit.
Research on Sienna-X
I have subsequently done some SiennaX research and found the following website http://sienna-x.co.uk/ . I learnt that Sienna-X is recommended by Marie Claire magazine and also the Stars on the Strictly Come Dancing LIVE Tour 2009. Um (is this a good thing…they look rather orange)???
Update
I have now washed off the tan and I am impressed. It is about 1 shade lighter than Fake Bake and there was absolutely no weird smell. I can’t even smell the coconut scent it literally does not smell of anything, Fake Bake kind of smells a bit like biscuits. I would give this 9/10. If it was slightly darker it would be 10/10.
I would definitely give this a go if your partner hates the normal biscuity fake tan smell xx
